Lighting What to do with my blurples???

Other forums sometimes incorporate classified ad sections, so if the interest exists, I see no reason why the same could not be done here. What this site could offer is anonymity which might be more trustworthy than ebay or craig'slist. I know this would mean more work for already overstretched volunteers, but it is also possible that a bit of revenue could be generated.

Perhaps this has all been hashed over already, in which case I apologize for an unhelpful suggestion.
The idea sounds novel.
But it might cause more issues than what its worth.
I respect people wanting to be anonymous.
I live in Canada so I'm not going to preach to the choir.
So on that note, I've got some slightly used burples used to grow exotic tomatoes...anybody a taker ( and for those that take all literally, thats meant as a joke):gassy:

I use my spare blurple LED to give light lower down in the canopy, I set it on the floor of the tent pointing upwards through the canopy.

Don't shine lights on underside of leaves. It confuses the plant and it does not use that light. Light should fall upon the tops of the leaves.

Yes this has been discussed ad nauseam. We will not be adding classifieds for so many reasons.

I use my burple lights to germinate seeds and keep them around in case of a main light failure.

The main issues with a classified section are legalities and culpability when thing go south. I would want nooo parts of that, lol.

My advice is to do a little homework, maybe spend a little cash, and covert your old lights into something you can use again. This is my Mars 900II that I converted into 500w of cobs..

Are there rules against giving lights away on here as well? just curious..

I agree but my plants hardly have any leafage on when I use my Blurple as they are heavily defoliated. So the Blurple gives light to small leaves on those buds that are lower down in the canopy. I would say that this only works if you are growing one plant.

Side lighting can be somewhat effective in the situation you describe. I have trained plants like that. I am too lazy now and I think I get just about as much bud per plant now without the work and the quality is better but that might be improvements in other areas making up the improvements?

Hey, sorry to hear that, if I were in an illegal location, I would be reluctant to advertise too. The amount of money involved probably does not warrant risk of exposure.

Anyway, good luck with your decision, and good luck with results under the newer lights. :goodluck:
Thanks, like I said, I'm not here to cause any trouble what so ever, just kind of at a point where there's a stack of something sitting in my closet and I hate to just let get dust. Honestly, that bestva is a damn good light. I pulled some really nice blue dream with that thing. But thanks guys, I believe the original post was pulled. Again, I didn't mean any harm. I will add though, the "quantum board" style light is so nice coming from them though. Glad I went through it, don't want to go back. Damn pink glow. Haha

I vote for someone else to set that up, send me an invite, and I'll sell the hell out of some blurps!! Hahaha.

That's where I'm sure I'll end up. I can't really throw them away. I like to tinker with stuff too much. Thanks man, good tips and pointed in the right direction, I appreciate it.

We long time growers are gonna have extra lights...I for one, switch out lights just for shits and grins....and to prove to myself newer/hyped buys make a difference.
I've realized that those of us who are small growers with small budgets are trying to grow monsters advertised by someone with high end equipment....
Just like this damn virus that's hyped by the media, we small budget growers are being a bit misled also.
