New Grower What seeds to choose?

right here we go

@Mohawk @auto.4.sure @trailanimal please @ anyone else you think would be interested etc or could give me advice

Each post now will be separate plant....

Diesel - RQS (Freebie) / Very very very happy with this one, as I've never had a successful freebie yet and not only that; it looks great. 33 days since when I germinated the seeds (12th June). But this one took about a week longer to form a 3-point leaf and initially thought I'd end up chucking it. So in all fairness to this plant its only really being going properly for 3 weeks and its pretty big.. the stems are thicker than on any of my plants and the side cola branches are also thickened up well.

Walter White Mephisto (Untrained)/ Day 33 from germinating the seed --- (I put the seeds in-between pieces of soaking wet cotton wool inside a plastic container, as they stay less cold than the plate method, and keep it by the radiator on low for 24hrs... all seeds popped out 48hr after germinating and went into the pots theyre still in now 3 days after germinating) --- and this is the untrained plant. Looks good to me, not a lot to say apart from I want it to grow taller.

Walter White Mephisto (Trained)/ Day 33 from germinating the seed --- see above as per germination --- this is my pride and joy haha.. the first plant I have ever done LST with. I followed the advice on here and have taken my own approach to it, which is - in fairness quite half arsed but with the very best intentions!! - I've tied the plant down, very carefully, twice a week... then removing the ties and tie'ing again. Here is how the plant has been trained over a 5 day period.

So, it's grown a fair bit in 5 days and still going! I have today taken the old tie's off and tied it down again. Stems really flexible but strong, again - never done this before so really enjoying it and can see results already.

Here it is after it's 3rd bit of LST now..

That's how we are looking now.... day 33 from when I germinated seeds (Apart from that little one)

So then, now I've put about 10,000 pictures for you all to have a look... give me some honest feedback, opinions and suggestions/advice please!!

My questions are now;

Trimming: Should I / How should I / Where should I trim the plant?
I just decided the trim a bit of the bottom of the plant today, just did what I'd done on photo's I've done before.. is there anything different with autos ? Or when I LST?

Height: The tent is 160cm tall, to give you an idea of distance between plants and lights -- will they put a bit of height on or stay like dwarfs now?

LST: Does it look right?

Thanks again everyone, appreciate all your help on this one! I really am hoping for some nice, dense frosty buds from these plants. I'm hoping if they stay small, they produce a shit load of weed!! I've seen plants taller than me (6ft -odd) that have only yield 2-4oz before!!

TOO ADD: Lights are on 20/4 as of 13-6

I checked that place out (Yosemite Valley) - friend this looks like paradise to me. Blazing one around there with the missus, walking the dogs... little bbq... perfect man, away from the hustle and bustle of everyone trying to beat each other.... just tranquillity and peace, with the worlds best show !
what a wonderful place it be!

you have some nice looking bushes grobro. If you keep on bending they will be small. Trick is to know how much lst to do for the available height. Of course, plants being so individual each one has to be handled a little differently, some really slow down with training, others just spread and still reach for the sky. As far as triming goes, anything under the dense canopy not getting the light can go. Don't do it all at once, a little at a time. This will focus the growth at the top where the light is, and create an open bottom for air to circulate through.

Cheers mate.

Would you say though, they are very short by even an auto flowers standard?

I understand that although small through LST the yield should be better by exposing more bud sites??

I doubt I will bend any more than I have and to be fair it's only a little bit of training I have done, this bend is the most vigirous so far, after reading your comment I've popped my eye through the peek hole and the plants already reaching for the light and looking good.

Overall, do you think I'm going get some nice finished plants with a decent yield? I'd like to hit at least 6oz from 3 plants, but unless they put some height on it may be a lot lot less than that....

I would like to average 2 oz per also. The ones I get 2 or more from are larger. Pretty hard to guess what the yield will be right now. You got good plants and they will give you some fine smoke, whatever the yield. Focus on keeping them happy, we'll watch and see what happens.
