New Grower What seeds to choose?

Yeah for the time and effort I'd be disappointed with less than 2Oz dry from a plant... But I'm not expecting anything here as it's my first go. I reckon I stand a better chance only growing 1 or 2 and training it loads.

The diesel plant should yield a lot, the branches are really thick for how old now and loads of nodes and bud sites.

I will upload a pic when I get a chance. But the trained plant from yesterday is looking even better after less than a day. The main top has bent back over to face the light already, it's amazing how much they grow!

Going to get crowded in there now though so considering taking out the smaller one and leaving in by the window to finish.

I have some old-timers PK mix, should I start to add it now or just when the plants flowering does anyone know?

I've started to change the feed on them.

I'm putting 0.5ml roots feed, 1ml vegative feed and 2ml Bloom feed along with <0.5ml cal mag (literally just put a drop in, as don't really need it there are no problems) All goes inside one 2ltr bottle, I leave the bottle with the lid off in the window for 24hr, never had a ph problem yet. Lights down to 20/4. Plants have all shown correct sex and continue to grow.

Also; could I start to add molasses to them? Never used it before so want to try it on the untrained plant, just no experience with it if someone could be kind enough to explain it to me? Cheers!

add molasses to them
some people will say not to... thinking of who... I'm gonna go with @pop22 ??
he's actually a choice pick to explain feed ...

i'd get in there and lolipop that plant a bit... start from the bottom and get rid of all them suckers

its a trimming technique ...
basicly take all the shit away except the tops... like a lollipop

but i'd recommend just going a portion of the way up
just clear out like the first two things closest to the main stem on every branch

but it looks like you already were cleaning it up a bit... so your good

I personally don't use molasses and I'm skeptical of using it in a coco grow with bottled nutes. I doubt there's a micro ecology to feed with it and it alone does nothing for your plants

The problem you've had with the really short plants is those Vipar lights, for one thing they have way too much blue, which.............. keeps plants short! And they suck in flower. I've got a 900 watt vipar I'm going to use for target practice...........it was the most useless piece of crap I ever put in my garden! Save up some money and get some good, COB based lights ( and not the cheap chinese crap, they are no better than what you've got ). By replacing my burple Vipar I went from grape size buds at best to this:

As he stated, I'm in the process of changing out my blurple mars2 700 to autocobs from @BigSm0 Check out the forum on auto cobs. I'm at week 7 and about to put my 4 in for the final flower when I get home Wednesday.

I looked at COB LED but to be honest just couldn't afford to do it right now. I cleared out my bigger tent with a 600w hps and had to take a hit on that financially by selling at mates rates and buying everything over.

These lights were £80 and to be honest I cannot complain at all, I count 24 tops from 3 plants and if I can pull 7g per top, dry buds, I'll be over the moon. However, hopefully they perform for me better in flower. I will put the lights closer to the plants now they are showing pistils on the stems and hopefully should make them more chunky buds.

The stems are all nice and thick, as thick as photoperiods I've grown before so I'm hoping for something small and mighty. I cannot deny the lights have worked really well up until now. The plant I have trained would be a lot taller vertically had it been left to grow and not trained.

I only have 160cm height with my tent so when I complain about the height of these plants I only want another 5/6 inches in height to be honest.

I know the lights were not 'top notch' gear when I bought them, but I'm hoping they'll do a decent job. You've got me panicking I'm going to have a shit harvest now

Any suggestions for additional lights I could add to the room to make it better? Could I cover up some blue?? Or add some other light in there? Like a 50w floodlight for a back garden or something? Noise is my worst enemy on this growing lark, I'm in a house with paper thin walls so got to be considerate of the neighbours lol!

Been keep throwing in and adding to this with any advice etc it is invaluable for me as my only source of decent growing info!! Thanks!
