New Grower What seeds to choose?

Autocobs by our own BigSm0 at cobshop.net would be perfect. Passive heat sinks, Citizen 1812 cob running at 60 watt. They put out a lot of light. I'm growing two plant, each has its own autocob and doing very well. A couple of them for more useable light would help alot. Good price also and I believe still on sale!

I looked at COB LED but to be honest just couldn't afford to do it right now. I cleared out my bigger tent with a 600w hps and had to take a hit on that financially by selling at mates rates and buying everything over.

These lights were £80 and to be honest I cannot complain at all, I count 24 tops from 3 plants and if I can pull 7g per top, dry buds, I'll be over the moon. However, hopefully they perform for me better in flower. I will put the lights closer to the plants now they are showing pistils on the stems and hopefully should make them more chunky buds.

The stems are all nice and thick, as thick as photoperiods I've grown before so I'm hoping for something small and mighty. I cannot deny the lights have worked really well up until now. The plant I have trained would be a lot taller vertically had it been left to grow and not trained.

I only have 160cm height with my tent so when I complain about the height of these plants I only want another 5/6 inches in height to be honest.

I know the lights were not 'top notch' gear when I bought them, but I'm hoping they'll do a decent job. You've got me panicking I'm going to have a shit harvest now

Any suggestions for additional lights I could add to the room to make it better? Could I cover up some blue?? Or add some other light in there? Like a 50w floodlight for a back garden or something? Noise is my worst enemy on this growing lark, I'm in a house with paper thin walls so got to be considerate of the neighbours lol!

They look small enough to go in my tent, and those plants look great! I will check that site out, I'm using two 225w LED.. So that from 120w is awesome.

Do they make much noise, or have a fan inside them? And is the light just a solid 'daylight light' or different colours like an LED?

Another mistake I've made is putting 4 plants in my tent. As mentioned, im on as stealth as grow as you can get.. So I don't use a carbon filter right up until it does start to stink... But the mistake I made is the condensation created from watering 4 plants in such a small place without an air outake!

I've managed it with a small dehumidifier I have but it's a lesson learned. I've come to the conclusion when growing for small personal amounts it's best to do 2. Have one vegging while another is in flower or something.

The plants are going well though. I'll get some more updates and pics soon. I'm going to accept their size and focus on getting it into a fat little bitch (Like a lot of the birds where I live).. Lower the lights and keep doing what I have been because it's growing really well so far imo.. Not bothering with molasses with the advice on here.. Flowering should start to happen any day now

Should I just sit tight as nothing much has happened since I last posted? Or do I need to seduce them out at all?

Good advice!!!! No sooner than 3 hours after that post I peeped through the hole on my tent and saw they'd grown at the tops, with pistils shooting out everywhere now... opened up for a closer look at they are really on there way now, well the Mephisto's both are (the third is getting a new home soon as 4's too many in here) and they've put on more height now, they will finish at a perfect size for what I wanted I think so kudos for whoever recommended these seeds!

Guys, I've got a problem!

This current grow I'm doing needed to be finished before 18th Aug. I leave the country for 11 days that day. (18th)

I was hopeful my babies would be ready by then, but I do doubt it. 3 weeks and 4 days to go, just cannot see it happening. So pretty annoyed as this has happened before; don't like leaving it on a timer that long without anyone in the house.

Anyway, got the girlfriend moaning about it now because I told her it would be finished before we go.

Last time this happened I left a key with a trusted mate who came and checked on them twice over 10-days. That was a photo-period grow that wasn't ready before I went away and was ready a week after when I got back.

This time around I'd ideally like to have no one in the house, I told my mate I quit growing as I don't want anyone knowing, so need some advice.....

I THINK - by the 18th of August they will more or less be ready - but I have that gut feeling they're going to need another week.... therefore I need to know my options. Here is what I'm thinking;

• IF 90%+ ready, I will cut each plant at the bottom on the 18th before I leave and hang them upside down in my tent with osculating fans inside tent. (Would that method give me any problems?)
  
  
• Leave on a timer of 12 hours light on, 12 hours light (10am - 10pm) off and give a HUGE watering on the 18th before I go & cut down on retun...(Would that method give me any problems?)
  
  
  Or
  
  
• Before I leave, just turn all lights and everything off inside my tent (apart from osculating fans) and leave the plant in the soil/pot in darkness for 11 days? (Would that method give me any problems?)
  

Any advice will be great. Any other suggestions.. etc.. anything will be a massive help. Just obviously don't want all my hard work going to waste. The worst case scenario is I'll get my friend who's helped before around - but I'd like to leave it and no one comes to the house while I'm away ideally.

I will get a few more pics on in a couple of days once flowering has started more - so you can have an idea to say when I should be looking finished

well without pictures... this is really all just Chinese ...
meaning I cant understand too much....
but from what it sounds like... a shitty deal...

some; at that final week of a plants life, they starve it meaning don't water at all and let the plant use up whats in the fan leaves...
this may give you some confidence??

personally i'd rebook your trip bro..

My girlfriends a little foreigner meaning I go to her native place quite a bit... Meaning in the past my buddy's come to keep an eye on everything.

Anyway, I don't want (ideally) anyone to come into my house while I'm away - so wondering what options I have with my plants come that time.

No chance of rebooking the trip, my lady will go nuts. Besides that, wouldn't mind a bit of sunshine this year the weather in England is shite!
