Grow Mediums what nutes would you recommend for a newbie using coco?

Check out my coco auto grow. I'm using Advanced Nutes for Coco, plus 2mL/L sensi cal with amazing (IMHO) results.

The co$t of the AN line might seem a little high, but realize the amt used is 4 mL/L for adult plants. Couple that with the Blu Mat, and you'll get better crops, and use 1/5 the nutes you'd normally use, and you come out ahead every time. I use RO water, and so far, for 3 plants over 7 weeks, the use is about 5 gallons for the whole grow. It will accelerate as the girls grow out, but it will always be under control.

I'd ditch anything made by GH on g.p.

I've been using FloraNova for years, what is g.p. Why should I ditch it?
I get results like this https://www.autoflower.org/threads/...utrients-for-autopot-coir.64042/#post-1703908

I have used flora nova and calimagic with great results. The only reason I have moved away from it is that shit is thick and messy. I can grow monsters with just maxibloom (powder) and calimagic. The most important thing is PH. A gallon of calimagic is like 35 bucks and 2lbs of Maxibloom is 14-16. I can get about three runs of 4-5 plants with that for 50 bucks. Your PH and environment are way more important than nutes. Spend your money on those things you wont regret it. Just my two cents of course.

Edit I did leave out that I add silica. I have gone without it and not had any issues.

I started using coco about 2 months ago and ill never go back to soil and I use the Lucas formula and I've not had the first problem yet maybe I've been very lucky but the main thing is the ph I go around 5.8 to 6.0 I'll switch it up a little and it helps or seems to on mine..But like most said each has there own as long as it's a good nutrients and you use it at 1/2 or so strength you will be fine.

That is why i always suggest it to people starting in coco. If you PH correctly and use lucas you should not have to worry about deficiencies. Most of my friends when they are new to coco always have issues. I go check it out and I see freaking 150 dollars worth of bottled nutes for their two plant grow and they are having issues. It never takes me long to find that they have some 10 dollar ph pen that does not hold calibration they bought on amazon, but they will spend all that money on bottles. Not to say the bottles don't work, but I am always confused on why people get sucked into 8 bottles on their first grow. Once they get the PH right it is like magic they are off to the races.

g.p. = general principal
If you're satisfied with what you are doing, who am I to tell you otherwise?
Just don't call or write G.H. about a cannabis question.....
They'll tell you their stuff is for "tomatoes"......
Not that I am defending GH. They are owned by Monsanto now and my wife is insisting I find a replacement. Why would you need to call them? People have been growing cannabis so long with GH I cant imagine there is anything new to ask that you cant find a million times on a growers blog or board post.

Listen to your wife. Happy wife, happy life.....MONSANTO......

I am planning to do the lucas formula maxibloom, cal mag, silica in an autopot system. I heard autopots can clog easily have you ever tried maxi bloom with autopots. Will adding hydroguard help? The only available nutes here is gh maxi, gh flora trio and dyna grow. @AJrexxx

I use either Advanced Nutrients- Jungle juice or General Hydroponics- Flora series... I find both to be about identical in dosing and how they work.... I generally go which is cheaper at the time... To me I prefer a 3-part base, you have much better control then the Lucas Formula since that is a 2-part, This is my personal opinion & choice.... But to each there own... I know some are happy with the non- 3-part base, but to be honest I always see the exact same issue with plants using 2 part, Like I said everyone has there own preference & choice as how they would like to use their Nutrients... I prefer 100% full control, I can get that with a 3-part base... other base types like 2-part or even 1-part DO-NOT & Can-Not contain certain vital macro/micro nutrients, The reason for this is certain Nutrients can not be pre-mixed together, hense the reason 3-part is better and why I am always seeing exact same issues on all plants using 2part base, unless you add them other items in separately... I sometimes catch a lot of resistance because of what I say by the Lucas lovers, but it is true what I am say saying that 2-part base nutrients are missing important macro/micro nutrients and it always shows in plants not being compensated for the lack of them things in 2-part base nutes ...
