New Grower Waxy's Quantum Ikea Cab- White Widow XXL

How far are lights?

Looking at your temps, I'd count heat stress out. But as you know, I'm a hopeless newb so light stress is my best guess. Reading what you did, I don't think PH would be an issue though.

That's what I thought as well! And the best part is... I refuse to ph my water. I am a bit of a stubborn ass that way. I have spent enough money this grow. Next go around, perhaps I'll change my tune and buy a ph pen but for now, she is going to sort her own self out.:fire: If my memory serves me right, you also went 10% on the ewc and bio-charr? @Equatorial

As for lighting, it's still fully dimmed hanging around 24" from the top growth. I'm not sure what the wattage is sitting at when fully dimmed but 24 inches should be more than far enough I would imagine. Actually thinking about cranking it up a hair on day 15. :muahaha:

Yes I did but I do believe different region has different biochar mixes and even ewc food source. So might not be exactly the same. I'm no organic expert but my man @hecno is a wizard! Check out his threads. Super nice dude too!

Distance sounds good if dimmed but she'll need time to recover. PH pen is really a must to have a peace of mind grow. I highly suggest it as it is very cheap. The cheap Chinese type works great for me. Foliar her a little...might help. Seaweed kelp helps with stress.

Waxer , first great set up you have going , second thing -- get a bloody PH pen -- With one you will save yourself a lot of heart ache . Some of the inputs [ nutrients can be as low as ph 4 to ph 9 so if you don't know what your water or soil ph is you can lock out nutrients , then you are in trouble . Unless your soil is well balanced and has a micro herd to help .I also found peat has a very low ph [ what is in the store here where I live . ] I will be keeping a eye on ya , so sing out if you need any help and if I can I will . and have a look at the organic threads , lots of info there .

some seedlings can be just plain pig ugly and they grow out of it.looks a tad young to be feeding to me.im a quailified eejit though, hecno got his head screwed on and talks sense
i 2nd what hecno says.if all is rosey in the garden a ph pen is not needed.but as soon as the slightest thing goes wrong ph ph ph ph
the yellow £5 pens are a bit shit and wont last a year.blulab acurite8 a few others £40-£80 (and dont forget the £30 of up down left right fluids) they should last donkeys years.oldschool paper test strips £1 and the dropper liquid £3,can be hit and miss or a lil off but ballparkish.
good luck n keep er lit,.

Thanks for calling in backup. I can always use an extra hand.:d5:

Oh I know that I will need one but I'm just procrastinating for the time being. Life is just to busy for the extra steps which I'm sure some of you guys can relate with. I'll pick one up as soon as time permits it. Thanks for the tips:cheers:

@hecno I'd be curious what your first look opinion would be on the inoculant I'm using. I posted a link somewhere in the beginning of the thread in case you decide to check it out.:eyebrows:

Day 15

Right so I am pretty pumped about this. I know it's still pretty rough looking but she's getting better. I gave her a 500ml watering with the recommended 1g/Liter of Enhancer on day 13. Sitting happy at 9cm and has got some lean going on:woohoo1:Edit: I also turned the light up a notch. Got her at about 25% (turn on the potentiometer) right now. Hopefully she enjoys it

I have been turning the pot a quarter turn every day as well. I'm not planning on doing any topping or lst, I don't think. She's had a tough start as it is so I'd rather try to just get her to a healthy end. It also doesn't really seem like its going to be necessary. Looks like she has two new growth sites?

@Waxer The bio mix looks good . One thing , I would like to see the mix in the soil for a longer time , [ 1 month no less ] reason is because it will give the microbes more time to mature , all you do is feed them , 3 things I use , Fish hydrolysate - - Liquid seaweed -- Molasses -- This will build the Micro herd up before you plant . With my soils I make my own , and are no less than 3 months old . and can be as old as 1 year . Worms and worm casting are of a great benefit to you soil , Don't be afraid to top dress with worm castings too . Keeps the microbes topped up . I also have live worms in the soil I plant in [ 27 ltr pots ]
There is 192 gram dry in this photo . Blackberry gum Auto .

Looks good. Recovering and starting new growth. Good signs. Without any further issues, you should have a decent harvest. Looking forward to your success!

Well I was thinking that I could top dress with worm castings every other watering or so, keep the herd going that way plus watering in enhancer every other week-ish. That's also packed full of bennies along with seaweed and molasses. I have Fish-mix from BioBizz if I'm really hurting for N but it's coming up on being a year and a half old that bottle so I'm not so sure I want to chance it. I am curious what would happen in the event that it is out of date though.

I would like to get some sort of straw/mulching on the top of my soil though. Keep that top layer of soil nice and moist. I have also read that straw has good enzymes that release when wet? I have seen people do sort of an enzyme tea where they basically submerge a bunch of straw in water and bubble it for a while then strain off the straw. Can this be done with alfalfa? Maybe alfalfa isn't preferred? I remember Brownguy420 mentioning something about this on YouTube. Time to dig a little.

That's a nice fat pile of dank you got there @hecno. I hope I pull even half of that. Man what a happy day that would be.
