Waira's 2024 Auto + Photo Mash Up grow gig

Are you using a harder medium?
Roots having trouble pushing out = less branching up top?
It's weird.

Those big leaves with extras, maybe from the A5? (A5 haze, right?)
Something's going on and it seems to be pretty universal. It would definitely be interesting if a reason was found.

New guy opinion after rereading that you aren't thinking they are where they should be but, nice looking plants there. Just beautiful. I mean even the top of your soil is manicured and perfect looking. Rice hulls? Just needs a few Zen garden sand rake patterns.

He's going for that inner Mr Miyagi.

No, the soil is fine trust me... The only thing used different this time during seedling stage was powdered coconut water... I gave a thought to the transition from the Diablo QB light to sunlight, but that isn't new either as far as behavior goes... They do shoot up but not like this; branching kicks off fine as well-

Yeah, A5 Haze (ACE's work I think).... I'll ask the cat who made this cross about her, but I'm not sure I've seen any grows of this particular one. The A5Thai is another skilled guys work, but I think it might be the Thai's leaves showing here? There's a thread elsewhere about the A5T, so I'll need to hunt it down and research a bit!

They're happy and healthy otherwise, thanks mate just the same! They all should be much better branched at this stage, I know my MO and plant behaviors and this is unprecedented...

Rice hulls have been great for moisture retention, and help keep the surface layer from compacting and crusting up.... Less enticing to gnats too

Most like ACE A5.
(I've just got another tab open for an ACE Thai, Thai A5, and Golden Tiger v3 grow at another forum.)
Could be the Thai in the leaves, too, you're right.

I'm sure you'll figure it out and get things back on track.
Like Entombed says, it's not like they're in bad shape, just not meeting your self-set high standards.

It definitely has a weird structure going on.
...getting rat-fanged didn't help! I think she'd be fine otherwise, but not for WTF is causing this wonky growth pattern! She's getting better, but filling in time is running out 😬... if only I had another few weeks more... I figure she'll start blooming in a couple weeks, but we'll see - :goodluck:

:pimp: - time for some dry porn!
They are all still pretty raw yet, cure time is needed for the aromas to settle out some as we know...
@LaughingHyenaSeeds -- Very nicely done on Dead Skunk and Lil'Stick my man

...neither had the best start due to that root trauma, but they finished like champs!
All aspects of their growing get top marks: speed, no quirks/bitchiness, tolerant/stable plants... Buds are all on point, consistent with other's grows I've seen, and top quality IMO!

>>> Dead Skunk - very frosty, so gummy when chopped... Aroma has been shifty all along, still not sure where she'll settle but right now it's a tangy metallic/citrus-ish that dominates, some interesting medicinal-chemical funk in the background... No real "skunk" or decay/rancid notes currently...
Very potent, she's body heavy like a warm lead blanket on you,...then later the sandbag drops!

>>> Lil'Stick - she's all that the other grow-mates have cracked her up to be
Aroma is a soft overripe-ish fruit/floral blend (not perfumey), dash of incense, with a subtle backnote of something camphor-like? Hard to place that now- LOL
The high is indeed special! -- uplifting, nicely trippy, clear headed and has a clean come down... Excellent! ...Potency is solid too :baked:
