Nutrients Waira Talks to the Doc with Rx Blend....

You're speaking my language but I'm a bit illiterate atm lol. My wife wants to build a night garden and I want carnivorous species as I have a special disdain for mosquitoes. I'm going to end up poor talking to you.
:muahaha:... but happy! A night garden sounds wonderful mate,... the hot house had most of the aroma night powerhouses, Angraecum and friends mainly. Some clients had huge specimens, 40+ years old and worth a bloody fortune! Some are all but, or literally extinct now (Madagascar) sadly,...
i just want it all lol. The orchids are creepy but alluring. Can't wait to jump into flowers. This is fascinating stuff though I really need to get rich and 40 acres. Smoke good weed to combat the stench and enjoy a mosquito free life. You have definitely expanded my view as I was considering African Violet but I think I need a lab instead. Tissue culture all the weirdness I come across for 'science'.
A lot of beauty queens too mate, I just favor the freaks! Stanhopea family (Gongora is one of my fav's), Bulbo, some of the Dendrobiums and a ton of smaller or even one-of types as well,... The premier orchid (ID/info) site is Jay Phal's orchidspecies.com,...23K species, 800+ Genera :help:

Ok here it is, Blb. guttulatum; this arrangement is a common theme in this Genera, particularly with those from the Cirrhopetalum family ( not sure they are separate anymore?)....View attachment 1196827View attachment 1196828View attachment 1196829

>>> Trichoceros species, not sure yet, she's not bloomed like her mate Tricho. antennifer has... flowers are fly mimics! The males try to mate with the flower (pheromone attracted?), and end up with the plooen pack on them instead....off to the next flower and it's transfered! All orchids must use some pollinator to do this, no windborn pollen at all, it's in "gel packs" on stalks basically... the many mechanisms they deploy to do this though are diverse, some are can't make this up weird!
.............these are true scramblers over things in nature, and pointless to try and pot up...

>>> Tricho. antennifer, from better days (almost lost the whole plant to an fungal attack)

i love your pics my friend also I've seen some superb results with people using this feed and it seems to be at a great price I've just stocked up on emerald harvest but maybe next year i may try @Prescription Blend

Bloom has started on all but the Creepers, and all healthy and happy! Another feed round in at about half strength, still borderline from what the tips on a couple tell me.... Kelpful and Bio Si foliars are loved, a few of those done now!
Some nice stank starting up as well, so time for the aspirin (salicylic acid) treatments to start that SAR response - :amazon:

:pighug: cheers Thomas! ...I'm as happy as can be with the Rx Blend so far, none of the other issues I had show with GBD's super-mix or Megacrop/GLN stuff have shown at all,... Funnier still, the pH is all pots is high 6's -- can't get it down much, but am not really trying either; I'm just using RO water, not tap blend... Fix not that which ain't broke! :pimphand:  ....... Excellent chelation in action I'm betting...

Hi @Waira,
Real nice plants. I am curious as to what you are guarding against by triggering the SAR response.
Thanks
:thanks:

:pass:Thanks John! .... the aspirin triggers the SAR response, theoretically boosting the tricome and terpene content in the same way insect frass (chitin) can, or say something like Bud Factor-X (bloody spendy stuff, typical AN!)

Very interesting says the German commander. And here I thought it was to protect against WPM during flowering perhaps.
Maybe it will do that too?
Do you have a benchmark to see if it does boost the terps and trichs?

not really, I'v not done a with/without test, just not practical,... I know it's used by "other gardeners" for the same purpose, it is a plant hormone after all... but I'm not 100% positive on the effect on terps and such... it's just from bit and pieces of info gleaned from various products like BF-X and the content of their ingredients... I have used BF-X before, and it does for sure work IMO,...
2 years of doing it, crushing up a 84mg kids aspirin into about 1/2gal water for drench, and I'll tinker with a foliar spray + fulvic to see what it does,... no bad effects, resins/terps have been on point or better cultivar to cultivar that I've seen,...anectdotal yes, but I see enough to stick with it!

Thanks for the reply. Great! now I have another topic to run down with the many, many others. Why do I keep asking questions? lol. guess that's why I grow relaxing stuff too.
