New Grower Vegasbear's Noob Growing Adventures

"they're not big", he sez... (whilst bein about 20x bigger than anything i ever manage to pull off  yeah, at least 20x...mebbe 30 :coffee: ) ppp
LOL! Thanks dude. I'm sure you blow me out of the water. I learned long ago in my life that the key to learning is to seek out those with experience, as many of them as you can get to listen to your questions, and absorb everything before sorting information into usable knowledge. You have been incredibly welcoming and helpful, and I love feedback!

This has just got me so much more excited for grow #2 - three manifolded photo fems and a quadlined auto should be a fun wild ride and enlightening learning experience.

First Grow - Day 70 - HG WW x California Snow Auto
Day 70,

Phineas was harvested tonight. It took me about five hours, seven or eight glasses of whisky, and a lot of praying not to screw it up.

He was placed in single layers in brown paper bags and then into the fridge. Tomorrow I will source materials to build screen drying racks like I've seen others use to slide into the slots for more effective space usage because Phineas FILLED the damn 4.2 cu ft fridge.

Phineas gave me 30 ounces of wet weight trimmed buds and a little over a pound of trim and popcorn buds that went into the freezer. I'll make butter with them later this week. I'm hoping that after drying I get a couple ounces - I know it loses a lot of weight so two ounces is what I'm shooting for.

Drink of the night - Kavalan Whisky.

And here's a track for your evening (it's 4am but whatever lol):

The Linda Fat Blueberry Auto hasn't been topped yet, but probably tomorrow.

I'll stake down #1-3 tomorrow or the next day once I figure out how I'm going to do that with buckets. Y'know, if they don't all die after the massacre that I just visited upon them....

Congrats on the harvest buddy!
Looks tasty :woohoo1:
And some nice thick framework left behind too
How did the roots look?

don't forget to tag me with the final dry weight, so me can give a shiny lil badge  also, 30 oz wet would equal out to ruffly 7-8 oz dry ;) ppp

Day 71

Harvested Toby today (who I have been mistaking for Alfred, as I was informed LMAO). 26 oz wet weight, and 7oz trim and popcorn which went into the freezer. Tedo the Chihuaua overseeing the work.

I'm not sure I'm quite on point with my trimming but this time it only took us four and a half hours instead of six. Lol.

Into the fridge for that slow cold dry. Racks are made from aluminum window screen kits cut to size. We ran out of room and there's only two plants in there! My better half - who gives me the side eye every time I buy more grow related stuff - was like "Uh, you need to order a bigger fridge. Like, a full sized one."

Alfred and Phineas soaking up ALL the light now. Alfred is looking like he's ready, but I'm hoping both of them can hold out two more weeks until the fridge can be emptied into curing buckets. Alfred is just solid sticks of bud, crazy how his phenotype expression is so varied from the others.
