New Grower using hps lights for autos.

I'm growing 3 autos under a 400w hps cool tube. I'm curious to know how much I should expect per plant. Can anyone give me some info on the lights they use and the yield it produced. I'm open to any tips/advice so...help!!

There's not enough info there to even hazard a guess. What strain are you growing? What medium/size pots? What nutes are you using? What's your ph running at? What's your temp range? It's really hard to guess final weight as there are so many factors that play into it, mostly grower skill. Good luck on your grow, stay safe

I'm growing 3 think different autos. One is going in a 5 gallon pot while the other two will be in 3 gallon pots. I'm also using fox farms ocean forest soil but I'm not quite sure what nutes I'm going to use, as I'm still waiting for the seeds to come in the ail.

So many other things besides the lights factor in to your yields; your soil, nutrients, growing skills, strain, phenotype, etc. Most dwarf strains grown well can yield anywhere from 1 oz. to 3 oz. or more. Growing in Deep Water Culture can doubt or triple that. If this is your first grow and you need help and advice, check out the New Growers forum, Reference Links and Tips and Tricks Knowledge Base for lost of good reading. Also read the stickied threads. It might also be helpful to check out the various grow journals and find someone who has a setup similar to yours, or who is growing the same strains. Always helpful to see how someone else is doing it.

Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil can be a bit too hot for seedlings. I would suggest you either mix it with something like Light Warrior or Happy Frog, or start it in all smaller pot in LW and transplant it into OF after it gets a bit bigger. Also, there have been some pH issues with OF. I would strongly suggest that if you don't already have one, get a pH meter and test it first. It will save you a lot of problems later on.

Thanks man stuff like that is what I need to know I've grown sum ak47x lowryder 2, big devil, and sum fast bud but the yield has always been small even though the plants appear healthy. I keep the ph around 6.5 and also mix perlite with the soil. If I could get an oz per plant I'd be more than happy. I use a 400w in a small grow tent with good intake/exhaust fans. So I'm not quite sure why my previous plants turn out with no more than 10 gs each. Any ideas?

Freedom have u read thru some LST threads it increases ur yiels alot never know how much but a good 30% more at times ....another tool for thought !!!!
