yeh ok but would it be more beneficial to use blue and red at the same time or two red bulbs wen vegging stops ?
cos ovbly more light more penetration but im just trying to cut out my experiment so i can get this goin well u kno
from day 1 im using blue and then was gona swicth to red but then i thhought hey it might be better if i use both blue and red like simulate a dual spectrum but then i was told no u want same spec lights.
so im thinking use the 125 blue for 3 weeks vegging then switch to two red 125s, but then that means i gota get another red bulb.
so its slight cost me thinking using blue and red at the same time but i thought it wud replecate a dual spectrum .
what y'all think of that ?
i just spoke to my partner and he said that running both blue and red wont be of an advantage and if i want to run two would hav to be of the same spec, because dual specs are purple and running my blue nd red wudnts be the same, anyone to add to that ?
Like red said its personal preferance but a dual spec CFL isnt purple mine is an 8U lamp so 4 of the U's are red and the other 4Blue/white so its exacaly the same as putting your two lamps next to each other just make sure you rotate your pots every day to make sure you get an even coverage:thumbs: Everyone has there own way of doing it and thats what i would do knowing ive grown out so many doing it that way Si
What I'd do is rig up both the red and the blue at the beginning/now and if you have extra cash during the grow, buy the extra bulb and hang that too. next time start the seedlings under the blue, add the reds as they get bigger. 375w would get you a pretty good amount of smoke and they don't cost that much to run.
Before spending any more money, why not just run both bulbs just now and see how you get on with the rest of the grow? I started off with the same bulbs as you and still run a few
