I was using canna Flores as a base, then using plant magic calmag, big bud, PK 9/18 and overdrive.
I’ve now abandoned that and I’m only using Remo nutrient with Hydrogaurd. These are the best nutrients I’ve ever used and I’ve pretty much used them all at some point over the years. The whole line is fantastic and stabilises PH so no need to worry about fluctuations
Just checked the water quality in my area. Total dissolved solids measure around 330ppm so I assume I would be needing to ph balance the water. I am doing now anyway. Its over 8 when it comes out the tap.

Are you using Remos full range?

What nutes are you using?

My water is fairly hard where I am. Lots of limescale. There is a place near me that sells mineral / limescale free water by the litre (something like 4p a l) People use it to wash their windows as it doesnt leave a trace. Wonder if that would be good for the plants.
Hello you want to get a zero water filter of amazon £20 for 2 they are top notch my tap water is crap 256ppm put it through zero filter comes out 0ppm makes life dead simple here is my water set up each filter makes 150+ liters

Fuuuuuck! Mine is 30 ppm outta the tap and my PH is 5.5. I wouldn’t worry too much about ppm/EC unless your going full hydro. You can RO your water but that’s a pain in the arse tbh. If your growing now and your plants are drinking up the water anyway then it’s all cool. Your PH is waaaaay to high for weed. Bring that’s down. 5.8 is the sweet spot. I personally let mine sit around the six mark as that is where it lies when the nutrient is mixed.

yes I’m using their full range. £115 for the lot. This is my first time using these so I don’t know what the end result but it’s so far so good. Not once have I had issues with PH changing, EC, nute burn, deficiency etc

Thanks for the replies. yeah my water is very hard. I have to descale the kettle every month. Getting rid of it in the bathroom is a constant battle.

I am using a ph down at the moment for get it down. I put the water into a 20 litre buck let it sit for a couple of days and then ph it and finally add some nutes.

Surprised your water is that low. It can cause issues with your plumbing / health . Water quality regulations specify that the pH of tap water should be between 6.5 and 9.5.

Maybe your testing meter needs re-calibration.

These are the guys that provide 0 ppm water ( 0 TDS). Looks like they have stations all over the place.

At 3.5p a litre this will work out cheaper than those zero filters. Just have the inconvenience of having to get it.
