it isn’t that much tbh mate. With the grow and running my house I spend about a fiver a day. And the leccy people don’t give a toss how much power you draw really as long as your paying the bill. But saying that I wouldn’t take the piss and put up four 1000w bulbs either lol.

Yea suppose when you put it that way.. we run house including tent for about 3 quid a day.. extra couple pound wouldn't hurt.. and why would they care.. peeps runnin sunbeds in houses everywhere lol surely that's a power sucker!! Maybe I could squeeze a few more lumens in there id need to save my pennies first!!

what are you currently yielding on your 300 then mate? I never done an LED grow.

Wouldnt have a clue on a g/watt figure m8 tbh.. i grow perpetual so everything from babies to finishers usually in together and I rarely get a proper dry weight.. was growing in wee 3L airpots for about a year there and gettin 1.5/2 ozs average per 3L pot but again they were babies and upwards.. prob have to do a run of 4 x 8/10L pots at same time to get an idea. Todays LEDs are amazing.. i grew HPS until a few years ago and last few years in winter as tent was in the loft so helped with heat. Have a dimmable ballast which I used between 250/400w just.. my electricity use weirdness wouldn't let me turn her up to 600.. never mind the blasting 660w super lumens setting lol think its 660w anyway.

It’s worth looking into mate. A 600w would do you nicely

fair enough mate, that’s how I used too grow it perpetually, then went too veg and bloom area. Now I’ve switched to DWC I just use a T5 to start, then veg for a week then bloom. My ballasts are digital too and I think the bloom switch does crank it up too 660w aye.

I prefer coco tbh mate. Very hard for something too go wrong when using that

It’s a piece of piss too work with mate. Easier too flush, impossible too over water and don’t have to worry too much about Ph-ing the medium. I’ll be honest, I never adjusted PH when using coco and still got great results, but I do have access too very good tap water and I knew my nutrients quite well

What nutes are you using?

My water is fairly hard where I am. Lots of limescale. There is a place near me that sells mineral / limescale free water by the litre (something like 4p a l) People use it to wash their windows as it doesnt leave a trace. Wonder if that would be good for the plants.

I was using canna Flores as a base, then using plant magic calmag, big bud, PK 9/18 and overdrive.
I’ve now abandoned that and I’m only using Remo nutrient with Hydrogaurd. These are the best nutrients I’ve ever used and I’ve pretty much used them all at some point over the years. The whole line is fantastic and stabilises PH so no need to worry about fluctuations

I'm still afraid to run even as much as 600w of LED.. in case the leccy ppl pick my usage up ridiculous I know but always a little paranoid niggle of mine!! That said.. the missiz would have a fookin canary if I stuck 600w worth of light on the lecky bill. my little tent runs with 350w (at the wall) of LED lights. id love to see what 600w of LED would do in there.. itd be somethin else!!!

I got 3 single sockets lol so i keep to 300w by necessity ,some nice new units out atm i am eyeing up a par+led 300w the umol is 2.5 ish
