Please don't laugh on my latest hack - because it works! Dehumidifier could only keep the tent at 60-65% when humid outside, until... I put in the feedback tube, taking intake through the top of the tent and feeding into the DH appliance. It dropped to 50-55%, but there was an additional benefit - 200W DH is keeping the tent warmer than when I had a 400W heating fan turned on (whose thermostat made the temp swinging every 5-10 minute by 2-3 degrees). So now, incredibly, the VPD has steadied around 1-1.5, which according to the papers represents weed nirvana.
This new set up kicked in Thursday evening - see the last part of the graph. The plants seem to be loving it. 5 days since watering, bags are light, leaves are still up - will water in the eve with 1/4 nutes. The only worry at this point is the smell - it is kicking in, wind is blowing around when it is sunny, and this may just be the biggest hurdle - soon I may need to bring this into a dark and cold basement garage. It may be too much of the shock.

Few comments for anyone looking to try a greenhouse/tent outdoors - today was a good day to show the challenges in keeping the environment parameters within a decent range.
Overnight we had 6C and peak of the day 14C with a few showers that lowered to 12C. So overnight I had 3 heat sources - LED, dehumidifier and a small heater fan set to 20C and positioned right above the plants. Also, until 10am I keep additional heavy tarpaulin cover over the tent, which keeps it about +3 degrees warmer than otherwise.
On the left you see the heater fan kicking in effect, every few min, than a temp drop when heater is switched off and tarpaulin is removed to let daylight in. Next is a quick shower at 1pm and clear skies for 45min - it took me 10 min each time when sun showed up to get from the home office and open the tent - each time the temp shot from 20 to over 30C, and by the time I went to the office, another shower moved in and brought the temp back to 12C - back to zip up the tent, and that was repeated several more times. I believe that the temp would shoot over 40C after 30min with full sun, in spite of vents blowing air out the tent.
No idea what all of this does to the plants, but fingers crossed it is all good as the VPD was decent, mostly around 1-1.5 range, except for the sunny periods when it went to 2.5 with sunny periods.

Right then, the battle has been lost, at a last ditch attempt I planted a Hellraiser but alas to no avail.
Basically, I set up a tent to learn going on living soil and organically, totally inspired by the Wizard Sawney himself.
Anyway, the first grow is nearly all down, and my lovely lady has made it clear I am not to have two tents running - so what is a man to do.

I took all the soil from the pots, put it all in a storage box, roots, leaves and all the stems and stalks from 7 plants, added worms and planted some vegetables.
I snuck 4 biotabs in to the box along with some Charge. \I guessed the larger pots soil was developing so I cut the roots up a bit, added some more worms, added 2 biotabs and off we go.

Store bought living soil - tomatoes and aubergine

week 7 starting in the tent, and I can see now that the Fimmed+LST plant is doing the best of the lot. Letting the bags dry out completely, about 6 days, between watering.
22l LST plant is the tallest, topped is delayed a bit and 30l LST is also delayed but bushy.

My tent is in a 2 inch thick concrete prefab lock up with a tin roof.... Its pretty much the same as outside in the winter and about 5 degrees above the outside temperature in summer... I've been growing in that lockup for a few years now and have got to the stage where I don't worry about the fluctuations much... Its a terrible place to grow but I've learnt not to worry about it.. It gets way too hot and way too cold but I always get a crop... temp and humidity sweet spots happen pre summer and pre autumn, then the rest of the time it's a shit show lol.
I stay in soil, hand water top feed, and hope... Same as I've done since the early 90s lol... I've tried dwc and coco in there but that was a disaster lol :d5: :vibes:

The quick strawberry kush girls from @Sawney_bean are cracking on
The 2 photos from sssc still haven't got a flowering tent yet so they are vegging and getting topped until I can set em a spot up.
The 6 Knows candy are early flower.
6 new sweet bourbon kush Autos are started too.. Happy days:smoking::vibes:

Walking back from my tent a moment ago, and saw this cheeky little strawberry - so strong, she branched out of the main pot from last year, and grew out of the ground and she is the first to show red

And now for something completely different - Growing a Pineapple for shits and giggles. (I think it is clear that this Sabbatical is nearing its end...)
When I was living in the Gulf I used to plant random things in the garden to keep me occupied - as there was no way on earth I would have considered growing hemp let alone some stank....So after eating random fruits I would plant them, it was grand - a oasis in the middle of the desert with PIneapples, water melons, longon, then I started buying fruiting trees such as mangoes, jack fruit, (fookin enourmous - but good for shade) white mulberry amongst other randoms - more than certainly the water bill was more than all of the fruit combined.
anyway.....I threw her in last week - she is in the same pot and soil as one of Sawneys NUGZ pot - added a little recharge - I will pot her up later to mayber a 39 or 56 ltr grawbag. She will stay in this tent until the GG4 and Cali doctor are down in a coupe of weeks - then she will live outside, maybe in a lean too or something.
The question is, as it was in "2 days before the day after tomorrow" will the current economic climate allow me to grow pineapples outside in the UK. I am sure the same question is on all your lips post Brexit - well, we shall find out
