New Grower Two Tangerine Dream in a tent

So I just did some checks on a few things in the grow area and was a little surprised. My scoop that I use to make hand water batches with for Sonya [SSH], make special nute mixes for top feed, and do a lot of things) is in fact 1.8L...

This puts a bit of a twist on things: I've been using my nutes at 2-2.5ml per 'scoop' not per litre specifically as I'd thought. I'm still in the range of 950ppm ignoring the 175ppm of water, but I totally thought I was using 2ml/l....

And I wonder why I run into issues, what a stoner :smoking:

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
:D

Even the popcorn is crazy frosty...

Started Overdrive in the rez refill @2ml/L today, so the recipe is now at:

2ml/L overdrive
2ml/L bigbud
2.5ml/L micro
2.5ml/L bloom

10L pH'd to 6.5 because that's where this 'soilish medium' likes it and thats where she drinks a ton...

So, we're going to see how she looks at the end of the week and if she's say 5% amber she'll get a 10-20L Top-down flush, 48hrs dark, and chop the following weekend. It might be a rushed finish on her, but shes ripening up nicely and I'm getting desperate to get the light moved into the other tent with her monster sister (now filling my 39x39x70) :haha: :D :D

Hey Jrok, you have a great plant there. That frost is going to be tasty as hell, She isn't ready, though. Pretty much all clear right now. She won't be cloudy until maybe another week. And then to really maximize her, you need two more weeks of Overdrive. You are looking at three more weeks to flush, my man.

Thanks man! I'm super impressed with how she turned out so far, my eff ups notwithstanding. :D

The trichs pics are actually from a few days ago, I'm seeing a lot more cloudy now - that's why I started the Overdrive. I'm most concerned about leaving Td2 without enough light, for too long. I feel almost like I should swap the mars reflector 192 from Td1 with the smaller mezeihi reflector 600w I have over her much larger sister.

I wonder what decreasing light intensity would do at this point - simulate late fall/early winter?!? Hrmmmm.... Maybe, maybe not...

Openly accepting suggestions! :D

Yeah, if she is a preview of what TD2 will be, only bigger, you are in for a treat!!

I will let the vet growers comment, but right now, I wouldn't do anything to disrupt the flowering plant. I would keep the lights steady on her to maximize those buds. She apparently likes what I see happening there. The vegging plant does not need any more light. In my opinion, it will be wasted until she flowers in earnest, which could be the three weeks you need to finish TD1 off. That wouldn't be my plan, at least!

I want to see what TD1 can do. she looks like a special plant, and TD2 seems to be patiently waiting. In my view, you don't have a problem until TD2 begins flowering, unless there is space restrictions.

Things are still trucking along as they were, my inability to commit stopped me from changing up the lights or even installing the screen over TD2. I have another mars bar24-60 on the way for side lighting as she's about 46" tall now and preflowers are showing a lot more. I still plan on bringing the canopy up a bit, but at this rate shes gonna have some baseball bats for sure!

TD1 is likely going to fit into the tail end of the previously mentioned schedule - she's about 50-60% cloudy with the odd random amber here or there. She's not drinking much anymore tho, so I may end up dumping what's left in the rez by the middle of next week and doing the big top flush then - followed by 48h dry out, 48h dark, then chop the following weekend. Nothing is 'on time' around here but I'm OK with that.

Hey @Archie, thanks! This run has been moving along with my messups notwithstanding. I've definitely had my fair share of learning this round!

Ya that's the 308 and 310. They're both really good at what they do, but I'm not so great at using them ;)

I created some issues trying to use the cooling side of the 310 for the exhaust fan and low night time temps never triggering it. I set it up to kick on at 77 day and 70 night with the humidifier maintaining 50% on the 308. All was good till the third night, then it got cold and sweaty. Without the lights, it never hit 70 and for whatever reason the 308 didn't turn off the humidifier - so Rh hit the mid 70's at 68deg.

So now they're pretty much expensive monitors. I was using the heating control on the 310 for the oil heater, but at this point in flowering TD1 I'm not turning it on at night, and not using the humidifier anymore either - I'm happy with my 32-39% at this stage and don't want to risk budrot/mold.

I took on a lot of new stuff these past two grows. Although I used the same dirt & nutes this time as last, the strains, seasons, system (autopots), lights, controllers, ventilation, nearly everything is different. I've really gotta get a handle on some of these variables instead of trying to do new things every time.

I'll be trying automation again at some point, when, I dunno. There's gotta be some thing Hey @Archie, thanks! This run has been moving along with my messups notwithstanding. I've definitely had my fair share of learning this round!

Now that gear is mostly in a good place I can start to get dial in some of these variables.

the inkbirds do use a funny logic to set them up,was scratching my head a few times.i just have the 308 the high low temp unit as back up for the week of heatwave and week of snow.
dont look at it as a failure, its a natural learning experience we all go through,or those of us not trained or secret gardeners atleast.every grow gets easier,or less difficult :pass:
good luck n keep er lit.

I have the instructions close at hand... we'll see how it goes as things start to settle down again. :D
