In the best news for a while....

Managed to convince my partner that we should really do some indoor urban gardening.

Just ordered a nice little COB LED light from China, true Watt is about 100+W, for US$85.
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pr...643.html?spm=2114.12010608.0.0.7eca3c21ikaAIZ
The name is "600W", but actually 112W or something, full spectrum, free shipping.

And a nice little DWC hydroponic system, 27 holes, only about 50 cm x 30 cm in size.

We're getting a tall metal 4-level shelf, 90 cm x 45 cm = 3' x 1.5', so will experiment with this first.
We're going to do rocket, kale, lettuce, etc. plus the window basil and rosemaria herbs...

If all goes well, we can add other DWC hydroponics (or aeroponics) boxes onto it.
The COB should be enough to light up a whole level at about 0.4 m2 = 4.5 sq ft.

I'm going to move the window sill herbs onto the shelf too, as the first hydro box will only take up about half one shelf.
And these little babies are going to take off....

Love and hugs,
MJS

What you people got in plan for this spring / summer outdoors?
@TheMongol @islandgrower
I see you've been getting some test beans, what's the line up?
I'm looking at Heavyweight Strawberry Cake photo and Jackpot auto,
Female Seeds C99 and Outdoor Grapefruit both photo,
and Zambeza Super Silver Haze auto and Amnesia Haze XL photo.
Try some Jack Herer / Cinderella and Haze / Amnesia strains this time.
I think the more open sati-dom buds do better in the wet.
Time to maturation is not such a big issue.
Let's see.....
main focus for me will be development of a far N strain. One that scores high in Stress Resistance Index. 3 that have done well for me, sweet skunk, blue dream, bubba cheese will be pollinated with Sour Dragon from the Portal.

My own creation . I had a sour d bagseed male. And a pink pistilled mother. The seeds I have been growing lately. Some variety in the seeds. 157grams wet destemmed and trimmed.

I like that open stance!, oh yeah, and the resin!

Day 10 outside

Went to check on the plants late afternoon.
First time to check since they were transplanted out.
Last week has been fairly okay weather.
Not too sunny, but not too wet, either.
Last day or two more rain, and more to come.
Though not very heavy.
Also a bit colder, maybe down to 10C min.

As usual, while going to guerilla site,
have to mentally prepare myself.
Tell myself not to be too disappointed if they are all dead,
eaten by pests or blown over or whatever.

So, a nice surprise awaited me!

~~

All nice and green, with some growth.
Stems thickening up, and shaping up for flowering.

This is one pot that had one un-sexed Safari and a mutating (self topping) other (or two?)
Safari is on top, the mutant at bottom.

This pot had the two un-sexed Safaris.

This pot was two female Safaris, and a little auto, I think.
The auto is hidden in front, so small.
The better Safari is right in the middle.
I think the other one is to the far left,
she's putting out longer runners with single blade leaves.
(Kind of like some re-gen plants do, or long stretching sativas in flowering...)

This pot had the female Safari in the middle, already putting out some crystals!
And then I think some little auto in the front, hidden again because so small.
Now, on the back left is the Safari male, lying down.
I was originally planning on culling him today.
But... he still hasn't dropped any pollen.
So bent it right down at the base stem, leave him for a bit.

All comments above are just after a quick check.
Prob should have properly checked the younger Safaris for sex.

The autos are... just too small, blocked out by the Safaris.
They are all doing well, though. Healthy and green.
Very few pests by the look of it. It's winter, I guess, not many pests around.

Forecast for next week or so is some more rain, though shouldn't be too heavy,
and cold down to min of 10-12C or so. Then clear up a bit.

Next check visit will prob deal with the male.
Not much interest in seeding, as have other seeds on the way.
Will sprinkle a little more chicken sh!t fertilizer.
And also try to mix some hydro nutes that I got for my veges.
Not the best nutes for canna, but ... will work.

Love and hugs,
MJS
