Braving the weather this morning; thought the house was going to blow away last night. Snow this morning and the deep freeze coming later today.
Got some lavender oil and bee's wax Saturday. Plan to make some canna/Mg rub today using some coconut oil extraction and info from Root 66. I will post how it goes.

Oklster--howdy. I am interested in seeing your finished product and recipe. Yesterday, found a bag of bee's wax--ordered sometime back and it was misplaced. Was wondering what to do with it. Your project sounds good.

Hi everyone.Might I ask if you all could turn me on to a rough Idea where i should start out.I bought after searching for the right product,on amazon and it contains 185mgs per teaspoon of liquid mix.How much should I try mixed with how much water.Also,would the creams and or roll ons be at all usefull used with the spray or instead of.Thanks all.

Hi GS,
What I put together today was inspired by Root 66 postings about root rub. A while back I had extracted 45 grams of bud trim with 16 oz of coconut oil that I held at 140 degrees F for 30 hours using the "keep warm" setting of a small crock pot.
I took 4 oz of the canna coconut oil, 3 drops eack of rosemary and lavender oils and warmed it up enough to melt 2 tsps. of bees wax.
I let the oil cool until it was starting to get solid and then wipped in 1 tbs of saturated magnesium oil I made by disolving as much Magnesium Cloride flakes as I could into 2 oz of water.
I wipped it until it was a nice thick cream.
I fell on some ice taking out the garbage a couple of hours ago so I had a good chance to try it out on my sholder and wrist. Worked great! and I could feel the tingle from Mg oil so it was getting throuh the skin despite being mixed with the coconut oil.
I also tried it on my wife's headach that asprin and acetaminophen had not helped by rubbing it on her forhead and the back of her neck. Headach was a lot better within 15 minutes.
I probably could have left out the bees wax because it ended up almost as solid as regular coconut oil. I will probably add some water next time to get it more of a soft cream but very happy with the effect

Regarding the bee's wax, at normal room temperature the rub does have the consistency I was going for so no issue on that front.
I have noticed that the skin on my neck and shoulders does not feel dry after use the way the plain Mg oil does sometimes. Hope to be able to try this with roots after my next harvest to see if there is any difference in effect.

Hey Oldster congrats on your first batch !!!!
Been meaning to add some here but the site issues anyway....
Definitly try Roots and Stems, personally I wouldnt use bud or good trim for a topical med as those are best ingested. With that said I do make a canna olive oil for oral use that I have added to the Root rub.
Most recentlly since using mag. I have not added canna oil and feel the mag more than makes up. Also by cutting any bud or trim and using roots you now have a product that wont test positive.
Keep experimenting and keep us informed..
