TLO/Super Soil recipes

And for the money, the dry pack is cheap compared to bottled nutes! Did you use any guano?
For sure! That was one of my favorite things about Supernatural Brand when I was doing hydro, ya don’t have to pay for water to be shipped!
On top of the uprising right now I’m using
EWC
Elemental
KIS Insect Frass
Elevation Organics bokashi +
Elevation Organics Fertile valley
Bigfoot Myco Granular

I usually like to add enzymes on a regular basis but I ran out of Enzymes Komplete

I do have some Sumatran Bat Guano but haven’t added any extra to the mix yet since the uprising has Guano in it. I’ve been considering doing an experiment with adding some of this and that, changing ratios, etc. just to learn more about the plants reaction in those situations.

I added both the bat and seabird guano but not as much of the 3 part mixes. The foundation is a great fert, nice light mix of the basics. Can't go wrong with it.

Nice info on Super Soil Mix and hw to stack in container plus a nice transplant tip, check it out:

And then you have these guys who say a little different, they also say to avoid certain amendments that I, myself, have added - makes me rethink my process:

I think most soils work, some maybe better than others. Just personal preferences as you what to add. Build a soil has a great reputation!

I usually just take my Aurora roots dry ammendment line, mix various parts into the soil. More bloom at the bottom, more foundation at the top. And just love the dry elemental, very few issues with cal mag def using it. It I need to add food I mix it in water and pour in on the top.

Way back when, talking 1984 here I built a small 2.5x3 room painted white with squirrel cage exhaust, 400 watt hydro farm HPS with a special 435 watt heavy red bulb, 7 gallon peat pot and a light rail that moved light like 12” total ...... anyways I also read 3 books before hand and spent months working on my secret room ...... Then .....

My Buddy who had been growing with 1000 watt MH gave me an Indica Clone and at the time there were no special bag soils like Fox Farm or Roots Organic so I got some bag soil at the nursery from with the Cornell University name on the bag and had gotten thru mail order bat guano - i.e. Super Tea and Budswell along with some kelp and worm castings, liquid seaweed and I did exactly as you ..... I was already into Organics with my vegetable garden soil I kinda had an idea how to grow plus I read like crazy the finer points of marijuana cultivation.....

Anyways I did exactly as you, put Budswell towards bottom and just had the bag soil and worm castings for roots to go thru before getting to the bat guano and more concentrated worm castings .....

Never topped the plant and that plant had a 121 gram dry cola bud and some 60+ grams of lower buds, the cola grew big / huge ..... I also was spray feeding with seaweed and bat guano ....

Me like you it worked out with great results!

I like that story! I have always been afraid of feeding too much and have finally started to get a heavier hand with the feeds. Until actually doing it, growing this fine plant will remain a mystery.

When I tried to build soil it didn't work for me, but I never really had the time or room to do it properly. But I'm all about learning. KIS Organics has some great products. Kelp, alfalfa, barley, crustacean mix, the whole mix. Have bought several things from them.

For an easy build do fox farms ocean forest for bottom 2/3rds of pot and fox farms happy frog for top third and mix in some worm castings ..... mix in worm castings into each soil, up to 25% castings if you like, and then build your pot ..... the happy farm has about a month of nutrition but supports rapid root promotion while the ocean forest has 3-4 months of food and helps make bigger buds .... the balance of the fertilizers can be watered or sprayed applied .....

Myself, I’m a Humbolt County SuperTea / Budswell Guano Guy, used for many years in my vegetable garden and will incorporate into my mix knowing it maybe used before she gets down to bottom but ya, I’ve always tried to tweak any planting and some years I plant a ton of different garden - trees, etc - Organic I grow ...... most other supplements I source local or via the web .....

I’ve also been a seaweed, kelp, fish fertilizer and or supertea or Budswell and molasses into each watering but all in small amounts and different each watering, rarely ever measure, rather go by color / eyeball, always use way less then directions as I’m counting on my soil to do its thing ...... if I see an issue with my plants, I pull out my reference books and figure it out like with my river birch tree, she needed more iron so she got and responded nicely, Milorganite worked in that case!

I still have a long way to go but have been fortunate enough to have been tolerated by the people here with the knowledge and experience! I'm not giving up, just had to step back with soil so I can go forward. I'm restricted because I grow at a buddies and he cant do much brewing or tweaking recipes.
