I’m now on my 5th grow and instead of a day to day journal in the newbie section I’m starting a thread where I can post random updates and pics of whatever is happening at the time for future reference. I currently have two kids at 22 days old, a 24 Carat in a 5gal and a Sour Stomper x Double Grape in a tall 3gal. First grow in a 5gal so I wanted to do it next to a 3gal to firsthand compare size and feeding. First thing that struck me was how they have grown, from the very start, in proportion to their pot. I thought the difference would be noticeable much later than that.

The SS/DG missed the hole when I dropped it (don’t drink and drop) and after 14 hours of sitting on the coco I re-dropped it just to see if it would grow. Looking at her, you’d never know.

Yeah man! When I discovered the freebie I was very happy because it’s right after I grew each one, planted that instead of another SS. Must’ve been one of the first freebies cuz I didn’t know I had it

26 days old and topped today. Topped after the 5th and removed the 1st for both. I also removed the 2nd node fans on 24C because they were huge and laying on the coco and the growth seems mature and healthy enough to be ok without its satellite. Other than that I’ve just done a little fan manipulation. I plan on dropping another bean or two in about a week and I know one will be a Sour Stomper. I have 13 SS seeds for a reason, it’s definitely the family favorite so far. If I drop two I’ll do a Night Owl Outlier C again cuz that plant is

The Sour Stomper x Double Grape is 35 days old and vibrant and happy.

She has 6 friends moving in to keep her company. The 4x8 tent has 2 4x4 lights but is “halved“ with a piece of my old tent which is held with clamps for when just a 4x4 is necessary. When these get big enough I’ll utilize the whole tent and also drop another few beans.
Her new 6 friends are:
2 Mephisto Sour Stomper
1 Mephisto Fugue State
1 Night Owl Outlier C
1 Rocbud Blueberry Slushie
1 Rocbud True Mac
The Rocbud were gifts from my smog guy, same dude who hooked me up with Mephisto at the beginning but I don’t know which is which because they were in the same tube.

Took me 3 grows to realize I had a perfect 5 piece plant riser set sitting in the corner hahaha. I don’t play my acoustic kit very often anymore because I can’t adjust the volume when the grandkid is hammering away. The electronic kit is set up for that reason and because I can play at midnight wearing headphones and not bothering anyone.

Not much to show but had to update for future me lol…first time germinating in the same tent with a 30+ day old which requires less humidity so I used domes and they worked just fine with seeds popping in 48hrs…first time with domes too, kept top flaps open full and pulled em off once they sprouted….AC Infinity fan on lowest setting is aimed directly at SS/DG so that I can allow for rh to be 60-63 for the sprouts as well as keep her from sweating…raised light power from 60% to 80% for SS and dropped the sprouts to 48” under the light as well as pushed them to the edge of the tent.…SS currently 32” away…I check for ppfd twice during a grow, once when they have first sprouted and then around the 35-40 day mark which is usually when they tell me to kick it up a notch….sprouts now at 450ish and SS about 625…my sprout ppfd numbers are always higher than what I read is recommended but I prefer to keep the tent warm and it’s never been an issue…admittedly though I do a lot of things which aren’t recommended and they’ve never been an issue either hahaha so I’ll keep rolling with it!
