New Grower The Plants of The Ape

Thanks for the tag. Not sure I'm even close to being in the same league as ppl you tagged. I'll take it as a big compliment. Seems to me that you got this, G!

I'm not a completely indoor guy. I don't have or need air intake/exhaust so don't know about them. Archie gave some gems..i am a fan of saving as much $ as possible and only invest when you got a good plan for it. If i ever have a fully enclosed setup, I'll be bugging the shite out of Archie for tips!

Start the feeds on the lower end dosages and whatever you do, resist the urge to overwater. They really don't need much water the first few weeks and can drown easily. Make sure pot is significantly lighter and/or top soil is relatively dry.

Looking forward to a great grow!

Light Height - Keeping it Tight ... Getting it Right!!

Hi! :D

So it's a cool 24" (of Led Zep love) above the plants .. and it will grow up to the light.
When it get's to 10" away start moving the light up and aim to keep a 10 inch gap between the canopy and the light.

That should see you right.

Although all lights and plants a different, so if 10 inches is too hot (or getting light bleach) keep a bigger distance.
Or if the plants decides not to grow up (for like 5 days or something) - raise the light to encourage some stretch.

A really clever idea (if your light isnt' hot) is to hang a 10" peice of string from it. - That way you won't need to get the take measure out every time!

Boom!

Thanks, EQ. I appreciate every set of eyes, and piece of advice I can get.

You cant win that rookie of the year title without being in the league, EQ. I tagged you in, you responded, and hit me with some knowledge, you totally belong. But I know what you meant.

Hey GG,
How are the girls doing this morning?

Man, I just love reading/feeling the excitement of a first time grower, and your journal here is by far my favorite thread to read. Looking forward to see where you are at in a couple of years. You are going to be a hell of a grower, i can tell you that right now.

Don't have much to add at this point, seems that Blue and Slater have and are a great help.

Peace

Hey, Hey, Stickman.

The girls are doing great this morning. They are very happy, and would probably be even happier if it were not for the bad movies I have been watching on SyFy as I sit here and tell them bad jokes about said movies in my usual mocking manner. Not sure if it is the campy horror movies I love more or just the mocking of the show itself. Anywho, the girls seem to enjoy it. They are too young for a Tromaville offering as of yet, but it's coming. They will never be the same girls after that day arrives I assure you.

Oh, wow! That means a lot to me, Stickman.

I am so happy that my enthusiasm is translating to you through my journal. I have not done anything that has brought me this much excitement in a long time. I can tell you that these girls have already given me a whole different kind of therapeutic daily regimen. And this is just the growing process.

I really just want to make sure that I do right by them, and they, in turn, will do the same for me. Guessing these two will always have a special spot in my mind. They are my first, after all. I do hope I become a proper grower, I'll work hard at it for sure. I'm definitely in the right place, surrounded by the right people. I thank you so much for that vote of confidence, way cool!

Have a good one today, Stickman!

I still grow the very first strain I bought in seed form. I'm sitting on a 5 pack of them right now and have been kicking around the idea of popping g a few. I may just save them for after I can harvest some male pollen or set up a proper seed run. Its keeps me nostalgic knowing that it's the first "name brand" seeds I bought. Still enjoy the smoke also,

I totally get it, Free Flow. I'm sure I'll be the very same way. I have 3 of my first 5 beans left. I have already put the Pen away that Crop King sent the seeds in. And I'll hold on to the very last bean for as long as I can. I'm weird like that. A good thing for the wife, she knows I'd never get rid of her. :smiley1:

Definition of Chelated. The word chelation comes from the Greek word for claw. According to the Weston A. Price Foundation, a nutrition information charity, chelation means that a mineral is held in place by a larger molecule, such as an amino acid or another organic molecule. The mineral is held much like a claw would hold ...

So apparently I went all Wolverine on the girls today... In the best of ways of course.

Today marked day 10 and that means... FOOD! I started feeding today! Woohoo, time to make some tall, strong, beautiful fatties!

"Welcome to Gorilla's House of YumYum"

What's on the menu?

Goodfood.jpg

2 grams of Mega Crop
with a side of
.35 grams of Sweet Candy
and they finish this beautiful meal off with
.5 grams of Cal+Mag Pro for dessert.
all mixed together and served with our house one gallon aerated life juice (agua)
both chose the 16 oz. portions and a good time was had by all.

The girls could not be more Ch-Elated!

They went to bed with full tummies asking me to pay their compliments to the chef. @Greenleaf Nutrients

They fell to sleep to the epic stylings of Mr. Neil Diamond, and it could not have been a better choice to end such a perfect day on. Sleep Well Tina, and Louise Haze.
