@Waira thanks buddy I have remodel plans in the works so I won’t be able to grow the monsters next year. But it’s not to say I won’t get some large potted plants ;-)) with over 5lbs for the 4 plants this season We can weather the storm.
:smoking: can't keep a good gardener down! Consider using fabric pots, 15-25 gal, and running several strains... You get a home dispensary and if there's a need to move plants, you're able to do so
Here is a list of the beans Ive offered to sweeten the pot for the winners. Any of you all listed can just PM me if you are interested in any of these crosses.
1- Glue X times Blue Widow
Glue x is Gorilla Glue #10 clone only super lemony terps crossed to Dinafems Blue Widow
Both plants were Indica Dominant Hybrids and both exhibited explosive growth and dense heavy yields. The Glue X had very strong pest and disease resistance which I hope helps the Blue Widow out as she was a bit finicky with the PM...
Im Calling the new cross- Blue Glue #10
2- Glass Slipper X Blue Widow
Glass Slipper is a cross of Cinderella 99 from Growers Choice seed co x Blue Cheese Auto from Dinafem it grew like a pure sativa and so are its effects. Spicy and Peppery in terps and flowered fast in 7 weeks. She had quite a bit of color also one of my outdoor plants that turned purple for me this year... Her yields were a bit lower and the buds obviously sativa in structure so Im hoping the Blue Widow crossed into her will help set her up for some heavier yields next year. Also another plant with no outdoor issues so Im hoping they can complement each other with yields and pest and disease resistance..
I named this cross- Spice Cake.
3-OG Cheese X Blue Widow
OG Cheese is a cross of bag seed Tahoe OG x Blue Cheese auto from Dinafem. This plant was a sativa leaning hybrid with a strong cheese smell and OG taste.. Powerful euphoric effects on the high end and creative throughout good all day buzz. This plant was everything I look for in an outdoor plant huge fat stacked nuggs super heavy yields and absolutely a breeze to grow outdoors no issues at all... I would expect massive yields from this new cross outdoors... Both of the plants in this cross exhibited huge heavy dense nugs and very heavy yields with some very high THC so a winner all around in my book...
Her name will be- Dank The Tank
4-Powerhouse CBD X Blue Widow
The Powerhouse CBD is a cross of ACDC CBD from Growers Choice Seed co x Blue Cheese Auto from Dinafem. She was very sativa in structure again also. The taste and aroma was super skunk fuel reminded me of the blue cheese very much. Buzz is actually pretty strong right off the rip and quickly chills into a deep relaxation with some good stress relief. She was an easy outdoor grow with good pest and disease resistance. Another one that Im hoping the two can compliment each other with yields and plant resistance.
Im calling this cross- Deep Blue
All the crosses listed are photoperiod dependent even though some have auto lineage in them. The Blue Widow used to cross all the beans with was the plant from the outdoor battle I took a clone and used colloidal silver to spray for feminized pollen.
excellent my man!
... great genetics mixing and descriptions, and a much appreciated gesture in the sharing of your works!
Ya man, I was pretty happy with my outdoor live pics. Gonna have to work on my bud photography though, thanks for the tips. Also have to figure out how to make my buds denser, they always seem to get very airy after drying.
That's a tougher call 4d', some cultivars simply don't get that solid, and FS is one of them... A lot of Haze in her...
Your grow conditions, feeds (right stuff, right time, right amounts) along with genetics play major roles in this too...
The drying shrinkage thing, I'm not sure what's behind that. I have similar results, some really shrinking and opening up, some others far less and stay more compact,... some of the more open stuff still stays stiff and surprisingly heavy, the resins are behind that,...
For sure water content at harvest is in the mix too, which is why it's smart to let the pot dry up more prior to harvest if possible,... I try to take mine when the soil moisture level is saying "water me now before I wilt",....
Forget flushing, starving the plant those final days.. wiser to taper nute levels off gradually toward the end, as the plants demands also decrease. You still want some nutes around, especially K, Mn, S as they are key for good terpene productions! This is why I use a micronute supp' like Earth Juice Microblast (nothing but micros, most compounded with sulfates), small amounts readily available; many micro's are immobile, so they need to be around in "fresh" supply for uptake...
Wow! Congratulations to all the prize winners!
@420Forever @4d-Rock @Jean-O -- some beautiful autoflowers there!!!
@Kyote @dankstyle J @Jean-O -- keeping those photos blazing away!!!
Thanks to
@Sweet Seeds Apolo @Sweet Seeds Jay for the Sweet sponsored prizes
-- if you haven't grown Sweet before, you'll love them! They are some sticky fast plants, believe me.
And thanks to Jean-O for his own crosses, love your support for the community.
Haha, I think missed on getting into the photo prizes by 1 point,
should have just got off my lazy azz and done a trim of that hairy girl
It's been great growing with you all.
As Team Leader
@Waira said -- it's so good that we had no rip offs or busts.
And for me, putting down my grow when I still had a suspended case pending, which has since expired, I was so glad to get out of that fear and grow the righteous herb with y'all.
I'm moving soon, to somewhere cold with bad weather, out of my tropical hothouse.
Not sure when I'll be able to drop my next round of beans, maybe 2021 spring.
But will thinking about you all, and when we can hang out together again.
Love and hugs,
~MJS
....
Mistress lovie, you were contending well IMO!.... I "warned" everybody that it'll be a straight pervy-beauty contest for voting
Some wise folks did look beyond the leaves to see the hottie beneath
Your cheeky guerilla run was a great example my friend, and I'm stoked you pulled it off without any troubles from unwelcome eyes!
Fear not, where you end up I'm positive there will be others who you can learn from about cultivars proven to work, and some grow tips too.... Several mates at another forum I'm at are in this exact boat!
...we will stay in touch of course
