How would you compare the aero to NFT?
Finger in the air guesstimate suggests maybe 15% gain for 250% more cost if I'd bought it new and just run 1 plant in it.

Would pay off eventually then! :smoking:
How about ease of use? Noise etc?
I reckon even the £500 twin system would pay for itself very quickly...mine cost a quarter though lol. A mate bought the other one off whoever couldn't work them, and got all the AN nutes they couldn't work either and is getting his best grow so far.
It's less noisy than running the air hose on a nft pump but more noisy than without it. A lot of the noise to start with was the droplets hitting the side but once it was filled with roots it was fine.
Biggest problems were roots clogging drain holes, the pump was starting to get clogged with roots and one of the net pots fell through the hole into the chamber.
Right place at the right time then! Jammy! That was an impressive root mass.
I think I will stick with NFT for now, still got to get this system dialed in before trying to learn another! That's the problem with this site, its like an all you can eat buffet, but the plate I've got is tiny!!! (but getting bigger!)
is that the soil plants you fed on the smeg from the nft? not a bad result like.
hmm thats making me a bit more optimistic about my tomato feed experiments. totally thought theyd just curl up and die with no nutes. and to still get 3 oz is a cracking effort mate. more than many can get with nutes. probably more than ill get from my a/u this time aswell. dick hahaAye, that's the ones. They haven't had any nutes since the aeroponics came down though... The Auto Big Gun only got nutes for about the first half of flower and the rest of the time it was just tap water and rely on the plant magic soil for nutrition.
