Cheers bud, they're in Plant Magic soil except the last one as I ran out and the top third of that pot is BioBizz All-Mix.......unless I've got muddled up and the stuff with more wee white rocks in it is the PM soil but I'm pretty sure the stuff with more chunks of dead plants in it was the PM. Either way it's all been used and fed with Plant Magic nutes before.
More pics soon.....need to clear cards and change lenses
cheers man ! i will note them ones down they look like they growing them healthy ! i want to throw a few in soil myself ~! there just easyer to look after arnt they !
Dunno about easier bud....I find soil a bit like growing blindfolded and involves more guess work than having an active res and instruments to guide me. Seem to be doing a bit better with it this time though....touch wood lol:smoking:
....the little one got a glass of nutes out the big res the other day, nothing yesterday and might get a glass in a bit if the pot isn't feeling heavy enough. The Dr Feelgood is drinking the most and takes several glass fulls and the not so Blue Himalaya only a glass or two so I don't think it's going to do too much other than look pretty up close. Blue Himalaya is one I want to see go nuts in hydro anyway so I'll just have to wait and see how many ounce colas I get out of it then.
lol yes your completley right ! without ph&ppm pens your looking for trouble ! its such a handy thing having your ready phd nutes on hand from the res's ! good stuff
The difference between the 2 methods is massive aint it , your soil one you got on the right has got a nice amount of flowering branches on , like it aero wins all day though ! ... i do see huge coco grows on here an wonder what there doing to get such big plants in smallish pots ?.
Are you finding the aero is getting a bigger / thicker plant off than the nft ones kush ?
Killing it mate beautiful bush and if any1 looking for a good soil.biobizz lightmix all the way ,pure magic for ur plants and u cnt really go wrong.keeps ur ph in perfect range .so if u mess up with this soil which is hard to do.then a grower error.but it really is great for plant growth and yield.and bud formation is also diffrent using this soil.sounds mad but its true happy growing every1
Aye Jok, the aero ones are, I reckon, about 10% bigger than they were in NFT. Buds look like they might get fatter too but I've found it easier to keep up with pH swings in the bigger res and I'm gaining more confidence with pH down as I get more experience.
The giant project bit in the title was always intended to be about learning to grow as much as a reference to plant size so hopefully there will be lots of little gains along with whatever fogponics does......which I think I have an idea for I can progress with. Basically it's stick a box on top of a NFT system that holds a net pot 6" or so above the matting and put some ultrasonic misters in the res somewhere. All being well it will solve the problem of NFT tables sagging under the weight of heavy plants as the plant won't be resting on it and stop the roots clumping up at the bottom of an aeroponics chamber as there will be a fully operational NFT table to catch the roots and let them spread out over. And if the roots make it to the res I could always add a bubbler too:smoking:
Time to have a more serious look at misters with that in mind but I worry that they generate heat and I might need a chiller so still doubtful if fogponics will be next or I'll go with an easier option like trying buffered nutes or just getting more practice with the IONIC ones so that when I do try buffered nutes I know I've given manual pH control a fair crack at the whip. Would rather put money into LED and less frazzled leaves just now anyway.
Beast is probably bang on with the light-mix for indoor growing if you want to have more control over what they get fed and when. The soil I have was originally intended for guerrilla grows in the woods so I went with stuff with a higher EC and ended up growing some tasty bud indoors with the Plant Magic soil and Oldtimer bloom nutes. The hydro nutes might not work so well in it but if I can get past the drastically over or under watering thing this time I might buy some fresh soil and nutes for next time.
