New Grower The Garden of Beavis

personally I would continue flushing until you could get those numbers lower, high PPM will cause the PH to basically dictate itself and you’ll get some lockouts as a result, which from experience ain’t much fun.

Double Grape smells pretty potent bro, like old cat litter whilst she grows...gives a noticeable punch to air around her but squeezing the sugars should reveal fresher and sweeter aromas. take some closeup shots of her mate, anything sinister should have visual indicators unless something has really gone amiss within the root zone.

That old cat litter smell is almost spot on, on the top, with the true dankness underneath when manipulating the leaves and stems.

I have checked and checked, got really up close and personal last night. Was separating the dense colas looking for any signs of mildew damage and nothing can be seen.

I guess we will keep humidity low and cross our fingers! I was having issues with Rh in the 70's% when I was in the smaller tent. Now with the dehumidifier and the inline fan, I can get it down below 38% and keep it there no issue.

should be good then matey

work on getting the in-pot levels somewhere more stable and you should be set up for these to bloom nicely.

Will work on that with every feeding!

thank you again for all of your help along the way. It gives me peace of mind having great people like yourself to talk to when things get iffy.

Looking good! Got yourself some nice new presents too!

The tent sides sucking in is good news. You'll see much lower RH now too. try to keep it around 40% now.

If you cant see mould, then it's unlikely. How does the soil look? Sounds like you might just have a stinker. No bad thing! As Froot says, you could probably continue to flush a bit until the levels drop to a safe range.

If you can zoom in on this full resolution pic you can see that there is no mold or white powdery mildew...only nice and sugary trichomes. I am trying to just tell myself that it is the natural odor of the plant... When I break off a leaf and rub the stem, I get the full dank aroma of the strain. I am trying to pick out the top funk from the scent as a whole..it just kinda smells like a bit of a wet towel, but there are hints of other things that make me question whether or not it is mildew.

This girl is driving me crazy. It is all that I've been able to think about. I want to nip any issue in the bud (lol) before it gets out of control.. Half of me wants to put it outside and let it finish out there, the other half wants to see how it goes in the tent with the humidity locked in. I am going to go with you guys advice and leave it alone for now..

I've come to the conclusion that if It is ruined come harvest time I can just run some butane through it and call it concentrate...

I really wouldn't sweat it. If nothing's visible it's almost certainly not present. Moulds and other nasties will tend to show themselves to the eye before the nose. Some strains have a pretty offensive odour in flower that mellows in the dry and cure. If you're really off-put by the terpene profile, it could be an early sign that you might not get on with that strain but that's a whole different thing and totally not something to fret over for the time being. As long as the smell is coming from the bud and not the pot, it sounds like you'll be OK. Smells change a lot throughout growth as different terpenes begin to express themselves and compliment each other. I feel like the term 'dank' has come to mean something else within the cannabis sphere but really, a wet towel is pretty close to it's original meaning so it sounds like it's doing it's thing!

Mildew can look a bit like trichomes but will appear in spots where you wouldnt expect to see trichome formation, that's probably the easiest way to identify an issue, it will also feel very different and have a cobweb like consistency that's very different from a trichome.

I would absolutely leave her be. It just sounds like you have a super stinky, terp heavy plant on your hands, certainly not a problem!

Keep up the good work, you should be extremely proud of yourself.

ps. I'm SO jealous of your additional space. I even showed by GF to try and convince her to let me upgrade the tent but it was met with a firm no :frowny:

:peace:

Hey Beavis, nice tent there mate your girls will appreciate it. As a total noob can`t really help with the mould but I would not trash her just cuz of the smell for sure. She looks spot on, I`d just keep a close eye on her and you should be good.:smoking:

nice pics too!

Thanks!

In regards to your SO...I just kinda hinted around that my plants might not make it if I kept them in the area they were in. Likely to grow into each other and sweat all over lol. Just kept seeing what she thought about losing one plant vs another solution..she was all about trying to save all of them. So I kinda went and ordered everything without asking but she isn't too terribly mad about it. The tent is just fucking huge mainly is the biggest deal lol.
