So I'm using the info from here to make a batch of CS. I'm using a bubbler, in a quart jar of distilled water. I have my silver wires about 4 inches deep, set about an inch apart. Power supply is a wall wart I bought from Radio Shack, 9v, 800mA. Planning on running the setup about 20 hours. Its been cooking about 3 hours so far and I've cleaned the one wire twice. Cost of the setup is around $50.

I have a run of mi5s going and plan on just collecting and freezing the pollen from the lucky turned girl this time around. I'll do the Pollenating on the next run.

I do mine on 6 volts (PC power supply) for 6 to 7 hours - 20 hours seems way too long to me - you may be wasting Silver my friend.

Ok, thanks for the tip. To my detriment, I tend to follow "More's Law" at times. "If a little of something is good, More's better"

I dont know enough about this - not sure anyone does.
But if 6-7 hrs on 6 volts works, which it does - why go further?
I know you want to make sure of your solution strength - but perhaps there is a limit to what the plant can take - so many variables and not enough time..........story of my life!

Hi guys If I may jump in here and pose a question or two on this subject.
#1. You can use pollen taken from a Female that has be turn over thru the use of CS and use this pollen for just painting a few branches of bud on a flowering fem..Right?
#2. Can you do this procedure in reverse so to speak and just spray afew branches of a flowering/preflowering female and have just those produce pollen and have the plant pollenate her self ?
#3. If so would those seeds taken then produce hermmies ?

Thanks for any input

Yes correct on 1 and 2.
On 3 - good question. Wether by spraying a plant introduces a hermie trait that will travel down the Genetic line - personally, I doubt it.
However to be safe - let the reversed pollenate other females which have not been tampered with and discard her own seeds.
If it's hobby work fine - if commercial - testing for hermies is essential.

the power and mA is a bit higher then needed which could have you creating larger coloids then desired so maybe 12 hours insted of 8 would be a good choice , 20 hours is overkill , but wont hurt it

Hi Clone It was really just a curiosity question ,I mean i see alot of talk about using CS to change a female to male for the pollen and just wondered if you would be able to just do a few Branches of your female and let her make her own seeds.Mostly because I have quite a few single fem seeds (freebies) That I would like to have more of and thought this might be a good way to do that .I just dont want to f***up a strain by doing something that would alter the genitics.

By the way nice to meet ya bro.....:smokebuds:

I'm using a NetGear ac/dc adapter that has 7.5v --800ma which from what I read is best if using the CS for plants and 8/12 hrs.
Using a red lazer pointer to shine thru will make the colides sparkle also a small ceramic air stone to keep a constant mix.
Just using what was told to me.My:2cents:
