Thank's, right now i'm just experimenting and plan on a airstone soon. Right nw i just give it a swirl evry few minutes to keep it stirred good. How lond does the silver electrodes normally last beforr needing to replace?

Dont know how long - I bought an ounce of 14 guage and have made around 20-25 pints - still more life in it yet.

Quick update.
The STS fems have finally started giving pollen.
So, STS (for me), takes longer to produce than CS - by about 10 days in this little experiment.
I also note a difference inthe plants.
CS sprayed are all pollen pods.
The STS sprayed have female bud also and many hairs.
I think the CS'd plants have already done a reasonable pollenation job and now the STS are kicking in - expecting (hoping) for good results.

its awesome that you are doing this side by side

thanx

TY Bob. In all honesty I really wanted to make sure the two tents got pollenated - that's why I went both ways.
My last CS attempt last Winter - 5 tents, 5 strains - only one produced. Was devastated. Put it down to high humidity - 70%

Now that Cres, is the question.............

For sure, the CS'd plants are growing beans. I'm thinking those got pollen even before I saw it flying - so maybe 2 weeks ago at least.
Not saying CS is better - that would cause controversy - but they have been quicker to produce pollen.

My humidity is low 30% and I'm convinced now that this plays a big part in the whole thing. So much so, I bought a dehumidifier last week for the Winter - cant run it now - heats the room way high.
I remember collecting pollen last year - tapping it onto glass and scraping it like coke - found in high humidity, it would stick together like wet sugar - not good!
Next time round, I'll flip the STS sprayed a week or two before the receivers - may just be my lights etc.
Will have an answer to your question in a week or so I guess.

If time permits - outdoor harvest going on - will try to put up a couple of pics if anyone is interested? Dont want to bore!

now is the pollen viable?

a good point maybe that with CS you know your stock solution is fresh and with sts you could be buying the two chems that have sat around for a long time... such as mine I have had my silver and thinso for 2+ years... is there a true shelf life? some say yes?

Good question - we need a Chemist.
The STS definately worked - just they seem slow to open the pollen sacs - could be my lights and my dodgy supply up a mountain in the sticks.
Just swithching to Digi balasts and the "Super Lumen" setting rocks - but a bit late for this run.
They are under 600W HPS - new bulbs. Phillips TSon plus - something like that anyways.

I hope it's not chemical age - because it would get pricey to upgrade on a regular basis - given the small amounts used compared to the minimum orders!

hey guys quick question, how long is the colloidal silver viable after initital production?

I only make a pint (in an English straight pint pub glass) at a time - so I always use it fresh. Have read it will keep for a month in the dark and kept cool but best just make enough for a week.
