Hi guys - been busy elsewhere (you may have noticed).
Seems we all have our ways of brewing this stuff. Also seems it all works.
Let's assume our brews are good - can we? Not sure if any of us will change our ways - cos they work.
Dont know about you - but my wife thinks I'm some kind of nutty professor. Lot of head shaking and tutting.
I'm now interested in the frequency and duration of spraying.
I think this may be more important than the potency of our solution.
I'd appreciate input on this. I've tended to spray 10 times from the light flip - every day or every other. But I'm not 100% happy with the results - ideas?

i spray every day untill i see male flowers , but not just suspected flowers , full blown ones , then the plant continues on its own growing new growth as a full male , id say on average i spray for about 2 weeks , ive heard others claim they only spray a couple times and it works , but i figure the CS is so cheap to make why take the chance of not reversing , better to be safe then sorry

peace

Yeah, thanks Bob. I sprayed this lot 10 times with a 4 day break in the middle - finished around 5 days back - now seeing flowers coming - next time I'll try it your way.
Do you ever remove the slower receiving females till they are more hairy?

i useually plan ahead so my females start flowering a good week before my reversed plants , if autos i plant my intended females a week sooner , if photo's i put the girls in 12/12 a week earlier

peace

Update on my 2 tents - one CS and one STS. Same strains in both. Both vegged under 600 MH - now under 600 HPS - all new bulbs.
OK. My two CSd fems are showing male flowers and so now are the STS'd fems in the other tent.
Guess that's the update really - sorry, bit boring - but I got excited seeing the STS result - first time using it.

However, I'd like to thank cres, who not only helped me out with one half of the STS process (volunteered - not asked), but also gave me support through the process.

Mind you, if I get no beans - it's his fault!!!! - just joking..........thanks friend.

Did you say what it is your reversing? auto? or sensitive? or photo?

All photos. Ones I've worked on for last 12-18 months. Growing, selecting, cloning, growing again, testing for Hermies (light and PH stress), femming to S1 and 2s using CS. Testing again.
Next job will be testing these femmed beans when they come - I need a rest.

OK. Couple of weeks on and the CS fems are opening up and giving a little pollen daily.
The STS fems are slower to open - but that's ok. They are growing and developing.
Keeping humidity down around 30% and temps around 28C lights on.
Seems to be working so far.

Ok I am totally new at all this, I purchaced a power suppy and two 99.9999% 6" silver wires. I started to run at 7.5 but decided on 6 instead. My questions is in less than an hour using distilled water their was a whitish slime coming off the positive side and the water is a cloudyish looking with something in the bottom. Is this what it is suppose to be doeing and should i let it continue another 6+ hours? also do you shake it and use the stuff in the bottom also are does it need straiined? Sorry if I sound stupid I've nevere tried anything like this before. THANKS in advance for any answers.

Yep, cloudy in an hour is fine and you should see the anode (+'ve) getting a little fluffed up and blackening.
Wipe it off at reg intervals - you dont need it or the stuff at the bottom.
After an hour or so, shine a bright light through the water - you should see little flecks of silver shining in the light.
I do mine at 6 volts for 6 or 7 hours through 14 guage silver wire.
You dont need to strain - just leave the crap in the bottom alone.
Oh yeah - a small airstone helps.
