Will do.
The seedling that is getting sprayed (and its sibling that is getting pollinated) is a Buddha Purple Kush. In very small >1g pots just for seeding this time. Going to start spraying in about 2 weeks give or take some days depending on how the plant looks. It's a feminized seed, so i might be able to get no pistils at all if I start a bit early knowing that its a female already.

I already sprayed it once with neem. Going to be doing that on all seedlings between days 1-3 to see which ones respond well (no change) and which get messed up leaves because I won't use ones that are sensitive to it for breeding seeing as even though it hasnt erradicated my thrips problem, it keeps them at bay as well as every other bug/fungus as long as I do a weekly/biweekly thorough preventative spray. Bugs haven't caused any noticeable hard that I've caughgt on to yet tho and its been over a year that thrips appear here and there. Eventually hope to get some lady bugs to let loose but not yet... Not in the mood to clean a bunch of ladybug carcasses off my floor.

But yea, so far both PK seedlings took the neem spray really well, and one (the one pthat im plannig on using as the mother) was on the side of the pot due to the seed moving form water, so I uprooted and moved it but I think i snapped a tiny bit of the root tip . It hasn't slowed any signs of distress from that, but it may slow down for a day or two. its already been over a day and a half since it happened anyway and its fine.

i run 6 volts 500mA

only time i get discoloured c.s. is if its made in a brightly lit area (like my veg room once DOH!) and the time my wires were very close together , i dont think the particles could ever be too small , as long as the ppm's were a minimum of 20 but trying for 30-40 when and if possible , they would simply penetrate more efficiently if smaller imho

peace

Good point. I guess its like proactiv and their "advanced Micro Crystal technology" that penetrates better..no I don't have acne I just worked for proactive when I was younger lol.
The only thing I can figure is maybe it didn't have a high enough ppm in my clear solution. I guess its time to buy a new meter and figure this out..

i have posted this before , but will again

from all experiments and findings , i find that spraying before the flowering begins is wasteful , i could be wrong , but EVERY reversal ive done has the plants first start shooting pistils then male flowers , the pistils die off as the reversal takes hold

ive sprayed photo plants/clones daily for 2 weeks before going 12/12 and they still throw pistils before any reversal and male flowers

if the flowering hormones arent being produced why try to inhibit them ? it would be like trying to swim in a pool with no water , pointless

also , buddha fem seeds have been reported many times for producing male plants

evol has warned against early spraying for that exact reason , and it is a warning worth listening to

Gasp! Yea I'll wait till I see pistils. Wasn't sure when the flowering hormones kick in on autos in relation to the first pistils since they go from a pistil here and there, to covered with them in just a couple days lol.

i trust my own fems to start spraying early with autos , but only because the flowering hormones kick in so early with autos , but buddha and others seeds ???

it is always best to wait for sex to show , you have a while before true flowering happens , and if you started the plant to reverse 2 weeks ahead you are safe if a later reversal takes place

so its a sad time for me

i got my first and only (to date) failed fem seed run while using c.s. , and it sucks as someone else was relying on the seeds

i cant be sure what caused it to fail , i dont have experience with the strain

i did however spray 4 times a day/night being i was pressed for time and also couldnt start the plants to be reversed 2 weeks earlier , so i may have over done it and caused sterile pollen ?

i do know spraying 4 times a day did NOT speed up the reversal

peace

p.s. the plants looked pollinated and full of seeds , however , the seed pods were all empty

:( sucks b0b, seems like the purple chem every time I've tried to reverse her it would produce sterile pollen, will try again the future with CS and a less stronger STS... Wonder if it's strain dependent some are harder maybe to reverse than other strains?

yeah i dunno yoda , im baffled , the plants i sprayed did reverse , i truly hope it was the over spraying that did it as im going to try again with this strain due to someone else relying on the seeds as i mentioned , if its strain related i wont be a happy camper as i just wasted 3 months worth of time , space , money etc , and if it fails again ill freek

peace

Frustrating!! Hope the new crop works better for you!! If the seeds you started with were fem there must be a way with the strain... Maybe some just need STS but that stuff is scary!!! Good luck Bob:)
