The Definitive Colloidal Silver Tutorial

Bob ?

If a plant you are spraying shows sex say at a normal of 18 days on average wouldn't it be wise to start spraying the plant at say day 10 and you should see sex at the normal day and then after another week see male flowers. So if a male shows at day 18 toss it but if it shows female at the normal day and male flowers a week later that would be the one to use ?

i get what you are saying

but no , ive never seen a plant use the silver and reverse before throwing female parts

meaning the spraying before the flowering hormones kicks in is wasteful , as well , some people tend to stress their plants when spraying , so no sense over doing it

at sex/pre flowering is ideal

It truly seems to be a contact based response. In other words, the pistils need to be hit with the spray before anything happens.

Plants, being three dimensional, are hard to cover entirely the larger they grow. Some pistils on the farthest reaching parts of the plants are missed. These will not change. Some people take advantage of this and self pollinate the plant but as Bob has stated this seems to flirt with hermie issues. I say this to reiterate the fact that the pistils need to be present for anything to happen.

What happens after the pistils are sprayed is they wither and die, only to have a male pod grow out of the exact same site the pistil was growing from.

Like he says it's best to wait until the plant is showing flowers because it really would just be a waste of time and effort to start before hand... Just my personal observations.

its not the pistils needing sprayed , the pistils tell us the plant is sexually mature and ready for the flowering hormones to kick in

we want to penetrate the plant to get the silver inside where it inhibits ethylene (female hormone) production , that is what causes it to flower as a male , but a male missing the male chromosome

so my whole point in saying dont spray before it shows sex is to insure it is mature and able to produce flowering hormones , otherwise its a waste of c.s.

This makes sense but it seems strange that the parts that aren't sprayed don't change...

The weird world of cannabis reversals! Hahahaha!!!

c.s. isnt very potent , not enough of it flowing through the plant when only spraying a branch or 2 , also why it doesnt burn or stress plants so long as it is properly made c.s.

I forgot to plug in the power supply lastnight and only had a two hour soak this morning before I have to leave and go spray is this solution viable ?

Nope...

It didn't matter I just went ahead and sprayed and I dumped the rest back in the jar and i'll just do a real batch tomorrow.

glad your gunna do another batch , only way 2 hrs would have a high enough ppm is if you used higher then wanted voltage , and then the particles would be too large to properly penetrate the plant
