That's nice to hear ;) I also have white vinegar, so I will use some drops until pH is on range. Probably doing some LST soon,so I'll keep the thread updated accordingly.

Best regards! :peace:

Hi all, today my brand new pH meter has died  I was taking a measure of runoff water when it fell out of my hand right into the water tray... of course it was not water proof... definitely not my day argh!

Anyway, I managed to mix my nutes and measure the mix pH value which was 6.4, so I think its OK. I flushed the Green Poison Auto with distilled water and the runoff had pH 5.8, I think maybe it's too acidic, but I'm not sure... Luckily though, I earned some extra penny working online, so I will probably purchase a pH and EC meter pack soon. To measure pH I will have to do with the paper strips for now... I have no way to measure my soil and water EC, and after researching I found I could have EC problems with the Green Poison. Probably it is too high. Anyway, the flush worked wonders, because the Green Poison reacted by straightening leaves and getting a better color. Some GPA pics:

The Assorted Auto plant is doing fine. The LST helps light reach more budsites. Nice color and size:

The Fast Bud is being loyal to its name! Several buds appear to struggle towards the leds:

Finally a team picture:

I am quite happy so far. The GPA is going to recover, I'm sure! There is still plenty of room for improvement, I wish they grow at least to twice the current size. That way they would almost be touching the UFO and covering the whole space :D

Well that's it for now. I'm out! Regards and :peace:

Keep on truckin sielm.

Hi all! I finally purchased decent pH & EC meters, and after calibration, I measured the nutrient mix, the bottled water I was using and my tap water. I got the following values:
-Plain tap water, after 24 hours of ventilation: pH 7.6, EC 0.18 (I was afraid my EC was too high but is instead too low! The pH value is also quite high too...)
-Mineral Natural Bottled water: pH 6.8, EC 0.31 (I think this water is more adequate for the plants, because after adding nutes the pH would be in the optimal range...)
-Nutrient solution (bottled water + plagron terra bloom + drops of vinegar to lower pH): pH 6.3, EC 1.41 (I think this pH value is OK but not sure about the EC value...)
Anyway I have still to measure the runoffs values next time I water them.

Plants are doing quite fine. The Green Poison shows noticeable improvement, as well as some growth too!

The Assorted Auto is keeping its pace. Nice growth, nice color, nice budsite amount ;)

The Fast Bud is doing good too. This and the Assorted Auto are growing BIG! I love that :D

And finally a group shot: Green Poison Auto is on top, Assorted Auto lower right and Fast Bud is lower left. To the left of the GPA there is a 1-liter homemade pot filled with coco and perlite, awaiting the moment for a new seed to sprout :D I started germination of another Assorted Auto seed which will be used as an experiment with coco substrate:

I already have some coco nutes, and will be testing the 1 liter pot because if that pot would grow a decent size plant with coco, I could fit more of them into the bucket! :D

I also got a mini bottle of Canna PK 13-14. My plants are 33 days old ATM, would it be wise to use the PK 13-14 with the 3 grown ladies?

Well, that's it for now! I'm out, I need a rest ;)

Nice to see you are high tech with your ec pen. Now you can really make a difference with feeding. I came across an easy to understand summary of ec and its relationship to nutes. The site was once a full scale seed bank. They have left up their guides. They are UK and info. is in ec Euro. scale. See link below.

Yes, awesome guide. I'm already reading! There is so much to learn... Thanks a lot Alan, now I have some reading to do while my new seedling pops out ;)

See you soon! :peace:

:howdy: Yo Sielm, just fell onto your thread... Subbed :wiz:

Hi all! Today I applied LST to all three plants. The Green Poison Auto is recovering nicely, it has grown noticeably and it's no longer yellowing ;). It has a nice soft smell but not very strong yet. I used LST to bend her so that each budsite gets some light:
gp1.jpg gp2.jpg

The Assorted Auto is the biggest of the trio. Smells like citric and weed  although the smell is weak. I have bent branches apart to help lower budsites and fill more space:

I did the same with the Fast Bud, which is almost as big as the Assorted Auto. The smell on this one is the strongest! Smells nice and skunky.

Finally a group shot (Green Poison Auto is on the lower side of the pic, Assorted Auto is to the left and Fast Bud is on the upper right side):

They got a watering yesterday, using only water (pH 6.7, ec 0.3). I am also considering using a bit of Canna PK13-14 with my 3 ladies, which I bought for the coco experiment I am starting... :stir:

To the right, in the last picture, lies my brand new experiment: a 1 liter homemade plastic bottle pot, filled with coco and with a new Assorted Auto seed which germinated yesterday. Today I planted the seed into the coco filled pot because the radicle was like 1 cm long already. This is only an experiment, to check how tall and/or big a plant could grow into a pot this small, because coco is supposed to grow bigger plants than soil... If it goes well I might use more smaller pots in the future instead of big ones. Right now the bucket is full . This will also help me know if my skills are enough to keep a plant alive using coco :o

BTW I used a no-brand coco brick which had a really high EC value when I measured it. After only rehidrating the brick, the EC value was 1.5 and pH was 6. I flushed the coco brick with a lot of water and left it to dry. After that I measured again: EC was 0.3, pH was the same than before. I think the coco substrate is now clean and ready, we'll see how the new Assorted Auto (from now on, Assorted Auto #2 lol) does.

I will be using Hesi Coco Veg+Flower for feeding the AA#2. If the time comes, I might also use some Canna PK13-14 in the flowering phase. That is, if the experiment goes well :)

And that is all for now folks! I'll be updating the thread as much as I can. See you around! :peace:

Looking good nice recovery.Hard to tell for sure but in some of those pics it looks like you have a touch of the claw.watch em close. I like to feed the stretch myself but to much N going into flower can cost you come harvest time. it can cause leafier more airy buds.Ease back on the N! Other than that looks good.+ rep for the recovery!
