Aw! This tag never showed in my notifications! So glad you decided to share you're journey. I'll definitely be following along!
Hello everyone!
I have been lurking long enough so I figured I'd go ahead and do atleast one journal. Shout out to @Starbreaker for the encouragement to do one. Also, I wanna give a shout out to @hotbuns @derek420colorado and @greenjeans, plus anyone else for any tidbits of info I have picked up along the way.. last but not least a special shout out to my fiance. She helps alot and it would kinda suck to do this completely solo. We have since developed our own method of doing things that makes it all go fairly smooth... I started out with soil but have since taken the dwc plunge, and haven't looked back. This will technically be my 4th run:
My aresnal:
x2- 3.5 gallon dwc buckets with rhizocore lids
x1- O2 Commercial Air Pump, 571 gph 2.47 psi
GH nute line
Silica Blast
HydroGuard
Calmag
PH down and up
x2 @platinum p300's
x1 400 watt Mars
x2 300 watt Mars
I just started a chemdogging from @mephisto. She showed herself to the world on August 24th:
She officially has formed her 1st set of leaves as of the morning of august 25th:
And one more as of yesterday afternoon:
I have started the bucket out with pH tap water til she hits the reservoir, then I'll switch to r/o after that. I don't really give a damn about the temps, which to me have topped out at 80° at the highest, but usually remain in the 75-78° range with absolutely no problems. I should also add that I don't change my reservoir, but only 2-3 times, unless there's a problem that I can't easily correct on the fly.
Here's some quick pics of the @FastBuds tangiematic that should be done in a couple weeks give or take:
After that I'll throw in stardawg to join the party, as I am trying to keep things perpetual.
I will update as much as I can, or atleast once a week or so.. [emoji41] thanks for stopping by
That's awesome I wish my husband would grow with me, but it's okay he likes to trim so I'm fine with that hahaThanks bro! Welcome aboard! Yea she definitely has come a long way on the learning curve and it's nice we can do something like this together

No problem!Thanks mate!
I wish my better half would be more intrested in growing, then just smoking...(so I could take over the bigger closet).
(edit: co2 in a bucket? Tell me more)
Awesome! I was hoping you'd see this journal eventually..haha. thank you for the encouragement to post a journal, the slap, and for following along [emoji4]Aw! This tag never showed in my notifications! So glad you decided to share you're journey. I'll definitely be following along!
My fiance does hair so I let her defoliate all the time. Haha... She doesn't mind trimming either but isn't really looking forward to trimming tangie...lol. We will just have to crank up some music and get to it. Sounds awesome man, this flower..brining ppl together! No problem!
That's how myself and my lady met a few years ago was by smoking together. When my old neighbor pretty much left the picture she stepped in and stepped up big time.
As for the c02 bucket, I'm not holding my breath. The amazon reviews were pretty mixed. I can't even open it up at this point due to trying to keep the relative humidity and temperature balanced between the tangie that is finishing, and the chemdoggin that is starting. @Duckster is right. It is probably not enough to make a difference and I feel tangie got the size she was due to genetics and environment already provided. I basically wanted to see if it would do anything, and right now i dont have the budget, and probably not any room for a tank anyways.

I see, I've never heard of them before. I don't have space nor a budget for a tank either. Bucket sounded too good to be true. :smoking:
Well it ended up being kind of a late night last night messing around with stuff. The coffee this morning tastes pretty good. We decided to hang this up last night for when the time comes to open and use it. Whether or not the shit works for sure, I couldn't tell you, but we figured why not..?:
Our city water sucks bad and averages around 500ppm with a pH of around 7.0 or higher. Since the city water sucks ball bags and the roots have officially touched down, we dumped the res, wiped out the slime with alcohol wipes, and added r/o water. We added: 5ml hydroguard, 3/4 of a ml each of npk, and added: 1.5ml of rapid start. The ppm came out to be 104 with a pH of 6.7, which we lowered to around 5.5 ph. To me, that's a hell of alot better than our nasty city water.
