Unfortunately I have a failed germination.

1 more seed "short stuff" seed and 1 more "seedstockers" seed dropped as replacement on the 30th April. Direct sown to soil.

I have a friend who swears by "Lunar Growing". At first I took it all with a "pinch of salt".... But...

Having seen his very high germination success rate, and his quality results, I think it is something I need to take a closer look at.

The research can get deep, with the various "phases of the moon" (waxing, waning, ascending, descending, etc), all reputed to have positive and negative influence, when sowing and growing Cannabis plants.

There is published research out there, with lots and lots of information, if you are interested....

However.... The basic premise is that plants grow better when planted during the appropriate "moon phase".

Cannabis gardeners who plant by "moon phase", report faster-sprouting seeds that grow into vigorous plants.

So, In a nutshell (when regarding the germination of cannabis seeds), the consensus of opinion appears to be thus:-

Lunar gardeners suggest that the moon’s gravitational pull can affect the speed and rate of germination in seeds by affecting moisture content in the soil.

To take advantage of this, it is generally recommended to sow seeds during a full moon.

During this time, the moon is believed to pull water closer to the surface of the soil, which is exactly where you’ll be planting your seeds.

Seeds are also believed to be able to absorb more moisture during this time, helping the seed to crack.

We know that cannabis seeds need plenty of moisture to germinate, and taking advantage of the full moon is a great natural way to give them the best possible conditions.

Something I will be looking at and experimenting with in the coming grows.

Anyone else have experience with, or tested this theory ?

I looked into this a couple years ago , had a great chart from a brazillian seed company , it even suggested when to harvest etc ,, does it work? I have an open mind , I couldn't confirm any differences , it just gave me a few more rituals I had to do to get a grow going , so I hit in on the head eventually , I have enough quirks sowing seeds
