Me too[emoji482]
I'm doing a side by side 600w HPS digital vs a 315 CMH on the same plant this plants almost 5 ft wide by 5 ft and so it has two different light zones on the left hand side is the HPS on the right hand side is the CMH you can clearly see the difference this picture was tooken 8 days ago.
I have sense moved the HPS side closer to the light which has helped a little bit but really not that much. The CMH side I haven't done a thing to it just left it alone.

Twice the bud for half the electricity, and the bulbs still have 80% efficiency after 30,000hrs I think(?)...while HPS is recommended to be changed at 10,000hrs(?)......I have never used HPS tho so that might be bunk!.....

@St. Tom - Zamensia Battle Week 3 Update. You can see why I've been slow to post -- been waiting for a miracle. Not going to happen I think. But I'll keep pluggin' along. :smoking:

@TheMongol - Dinafem Battle Week 3 update. Lost one last week to "damping-off". Got two left, but it looks like [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] is suffering the same fate. Oh well, grow and learn.

I'm just going to tough it out this summer and hopefully build a shade house this winter something semi permanent that I can still shift if needed. Stealth is important though as I live and grow where I work . I would love something like this ideally but trying to keep nosy fkrs from looking in might be an issue. Trying to keep anything green out of sight is a job at the moment as there's not much grass round to conceal anything

Yes I plan on running some autos also when I ordered the SeedStockers from Seed City Seed Bank I also bought some other genetics from some other breeders. That they're all supposed to be large yields high THC so I'm testing this summer I'll be growing probably 6 to 10 plants of I think 3 or 4 different breeders and strains. Plus I'm growing my regular lineup of got to have strains for the clients Circle.
So you didn't get one of those shade Nets that we spoke of earlier this year maybe was late last year what we had talked about. I thought you might get one of those that would realy help you with the shading of the plant you could knock down some of that sunlight by as much as 60% if you wanted too depending on what Shade net that you bought.

Noooooiice bro.....[emoji144].......always good to see another CMH grower....[emoji144][emoji144].....what bulb do you use?...:d5:
I know right I wasn't CMH believer at first it took me about a year but I've been growing with them now for about a year and a half and I really like them a lot and I'm switching everything I got out to the CMH lights.
I mean I can't afford to buy LEDs shit if I was tool up with LEDs for my grow its $5,000 even if I built myself it's still freaking half that cost. I not going to spend that kind of money to convert my grow to LEDs..
To convert my light reflectors that I already have to 315CMH is about $160.00 each. I've already converted 3 I've got 6 more to go I want to add parabolic reflectors large wings DIY and I'm also going to put in either a light mover rails or light carousel DIY.

This is what I'm using right now I plan on getting better bulbs later on but these are doing great and I'm not mad at them. I can't complain whatsoever their cheapies and they work great.
A buddy of mine is using one of the Hortilux CMH lights he says it's super intense so that maybe my next bulb I don't know I'll research it and see I may not want to go the same way he goes I may want to do a test bulb and try something different like your Argo Philip there's quite a few more developments out here with the CMH now since I bought mine I may want to build my own and do a double ended and make it a 630 or a 945 or 1260 or ?? LoL [emoji482]

These pics I just went down to the grow room and took them a few minutes ago so these are real relevant.

Yeah that's right about 10,000 hours or I change mine every 6 to 9 months when I used to run them because otherwise you just lose yield big time that bulb that's over top of that CBD plant is an almost brand new bulb it was brand new bulb when I put it in its only got four weeks of running on it.

....unlucky dude.....do you know what went wrong?...:smiley1:

Well, I've lost about 4 sprouts here in the past couple of weeks. Different breeders, different strains. My germ and sprouting procedures have not changed over the past year. So a real head-scratcher. Best I can figure is that I was using Rapid-Rooters that are over 3 years old and have stayed moist in their sealed bag. I think I might have gotten some mold in there and that could be the culprit for causing pervasive "Damping-off" across all these germ/sprout efforts. First time for me with this affliction, so I'm reading up on it to better understand the causes, etc.

...everything looks really, really good dude and I applaud you for swapping to CMH......I cant recommend the Philips Argo bulb enough, they are UV sheilded tho, if you are looking for that....Growers choice do a Deep red bulb and a 10000k now if you are interested dude but all are relatively expensive lol....but last a looong time...You might not be interested in these, but I swapped to a parabolic once and had an ok reflector at the time, so I got a cheap one....loved it!! but it was material with a mirrored side....needed an adapter for the bulb too, and I didnt have the height for it in the end.....could try one for a cheap parabolic test tho.......hope some of this helps dude lol:smiley1:
