The AutoDuck Project!

Howdy people,

Took a shot of the freshly planted cubes but haven't put it up; will do it when I've got the final sprout count -- four up so far! Waiting on the rest. Keep your fingers and toes crossed y'all!

Dragon Duck F1s!!

Weeelll Howdy!

Let's get this thread caught up, shall we?

My beautiful Duck (Stitch stock...or so he claimed), a bloody vigorous and well yielding and menthol, yup, I said menthol tasting Duck, and very sati-dom high, a fat-webbed Duck of a dame...bloody struggled to revegetate, and even more so to finish the Stone Dragon cross seeds. Here's two pics (and we're lucky he remembered to take even these) of the reveged Duck mom. She's a little chloritic and tired and also looks to me like some P deficiency, but, hey, I wasn't there much to help my coco-novice-always-stoned-pal. And, of course, my little corner took last and occasional attention to his own 'bitches'.

...Then, after more f-cking around than I care to recollect, seed got finished (tiny little buggers), harvested, dried well, chilled for, well, longer than expected, and eventually bloody soaked and planted in my regular germination method -- and it usually has a damn good strike rate...unless some bogus-old-as-shit-so-let's-give-it-away-as-a-freebie bean gets in there. Ten got soaked, ten planted, and here's the pic:

But are they any good?!

The question we all of course want answered. After 32 hour soak, and 36 hour incubation in warmed cubes -- 8 are up! We're at 80% and I'm still hanging in there for the last two!

We officially have Dragon Duck F1s!

I remove them from the plain water perlite wick as they sprout and transfer to nute solution perlite soak to give 'em a good kick in the ass! These pics are in the nutes soak and sprouts will remain in it till they get a helthy root mass out of the cubes.

Overall, so far so good -- and, as a new potential strain, we have F1s -- a success!

Cheers for the support people.

Oh boy...... Ducklings on the move

Betcha there's that warm glowing fuzzy feeling of achievement..... There should be, the proof is in the puddi....errr.... foam View attachment 548386

To tell the truth man, I still got no idea how much work is necessary so I'm not over the moon just yet but, yeah, feelin' fuzzy good to get this far.

Woo woo they look good ..success is sweet. Loose the ducks an let them fly havoc.

...and Dragon Ducks shall in these confines flourish, and with an AFN vibe cry Havoc! and let loose the Ducks of war!! (love the Julius Caesar bit bro).

Hey bro
Great to see the ducks sprout. I hope you find a strong male and female to go to the next generation.
happy growing and breeding

Odds are in our favor man, so here's hoping...

Everything about this is Awesome!! Good luck with the project :d5:

Thanx a bunch Blue!

We Got 100%!!

Howdy,

Last two beans came up! We got 100% so strike rate is perfect and I feel good to let 'em loose to those of you eager to help. Here's the proof:

They're all soaking in nute solution of 450ppm and loving it, so we're off to the next phase of this project -- and speaking of the next phase:

Who Wants Some??!

I figured I could bring them this far and maybe prove the beans' viability. Check that as done! Fortunately turns out I can now grow some out, but this project will take more hands and little grow spots than I got to accomplish it.

Now, we all know why I started this caper, and the tightwad little randy monkey man that inspired it (though, curiously, he offered me some of his seeds -- but I would've spread 'em around so the right thing was to decline his offer). We don't want any of that tightwad behavior on this project!!

The Rules:

1) Ten seeds each to members that want to participate (and I figure I have enough for about five people).
2) Members must have at least two grow journals documented here at AFN.
3) Members must run a grow journal here on this thread so all the works are public and everyone responsible for bringing this project to a successful conclusion can receive due credit.
4) Members participating MUST share their breeding with the others already laboring on this project!

Now some of you have expressed interest back when I was conditioning the seeds. If you're still keen, and accept the above rules, PM me and I will try to be impartial in those I choose. As I said, participants will receive ten beans each and hopefully we can have some semblance of an autoflowering duck within a few generations...perhaps by F4 or F5...?

Cheers y'all,

And thanks in advance for help and support!
