Day two for me under the light i am noticing them just reaching for it in veg mode but that is 4 feet six inches away. I know it says 2x4 area on tasty web site but i do beleive it will cover a area bigger then that. We will find out IM also starting some from seed under it. With in days my tester thread is in the regular post section drop by guys

I have been waiting along time for this moment. I don't know if they are 3070 or 3590 cobs in the tasty but I'm sure it will drown out most lights. I'll be following along FairlyNew

Germination commencing!

I will actually be doing a journal in tandem with the @FastBuds video contest, so there is likely going to be some video updates included with this grow. @Tasty

No matter what there will be three Fastbuds Crystal Meth autoflowers (provided they all germ) going under the Tasty LED.

Also in the group is Fastbuds Pineapple Express, Gorilla Glue, Sweet Seeds Red Poison Auto, Cream Mandarine XL auto, and a Cream Caramel photo. Obviously these won't all fit. BUT, if there's room for one or two more (we'll see lol,) they may sneak a cheek in to say hello!

I put some flowering plants I had under another LED light under the Tasty COB just to test it out and I want to say I'm noticing a difference after a few days. It's amazingly bright. It's always very warming on your backside if you're right underneath it.

I needed a a bit stronger light for them though (used like... 40W equivalent household CFL lol,) they got a little lanky but they are doing well in their pots. I've got some 125W true watt CFL's I normally start them under but been trying this out, honestly if I got to them just a day sooner I would have avoided the excessive stretch I'm thinking. They'll be just fine.

Getting a few pots ready:

I have literally caught my cat sunbathing under this light.

And here is the prime example of sometimes "just letting stuff be." I noticed this one Sweet Seeds Cream Mandarine XL struggling to get out of the rapid rooter (normally I don't have issues, but it seems to help putting them in pointy side down from my experience.)

So I tried helping this one along.

Let me give you an idea of my finesse apparently:

I still planted it anyway. It's not doing so hot So 16 out of 16 germinated, but my sausage fingers smashed one.

Note to self: "Avoid sausage finger handling your seedling."
2nd note to self: "That sounded pretty dirty."

I use clear plastic cups for humidity domes on my seedlings until they get too tall or leaf out too much:

Here's a 3 gallon root ball. Been awhile since I've done an auto in a 5 gallon pot, so going to try to fill it up!

The plants were potted last night, so I'll say my start date for the seedlings will be 8/18/2016. So I hope these to finish out around early/mid November.
