Hey everyone I'm going to be starting a grow with a new test light from Kevin with @Tasty LED. The shipping was incredibly fast and I just received the light today, so I thought I would start this off with an unboxing.

The light arrived in a very discrete cardboard box. I know there's a lot of growers out there that are worried about what it says or if the delivery driver might pick up on anything, so here's some screens of the actual box itself as is, freshly delivered:

Literally two labels on the entire thing. I won't post the shipping label for obvious reasons, but it shows his name, the company address and telephone #, and Tasty LED, LLC as the company.

Here we are actually opening up the box. Thick styrofoam for padding and packing peanuts holding in the parts.

Glad it got there safe, the box looks kinda beat in that first pic. Anyway, looking forward to the grow. The dimmer can be useful for acclimating young plants. You may find in the veg stage that plant growth isn't linear with light level, so a bit of dimming can save some electricity. If you find a level you like you can use the switch to make the knob a preset.

They are 3500K 80 CRI. I can do custom builds and am open to changing the stock option at some point. I have a variety of K/CRI samples on the way to do some testing on. In the past there has been an efficiency penalty for high CRI versions but as they improve the phosphor coating tech the performance gap has been closing.
