New Grower Tangerine Dream auto from Growers Choice!

And sure. It is probably going to be something for my heritage, as I’m Sami (indigenous to the tundra of Scandinavia). I might make a pipe for a friend in Morocco though so he can smoke hash out if it. (I had given a glass bowl but it got broken)
I am 49% Scandinavian according to my DNA.

I am 49% Scandinavian according to my DNA.

Remember that any DNA test is just a sneak peak into your heritage. Nobody does full genomic sequencing (it can be done but would take a long time and cost a lot, it’s been done for scientific research before)

That’s pretty cool though. But Sami are different then Scandinavian. Those people are the colonizers to the region. They originate from other parts of Europe and migrated north pushing the Sami people in the same way that colonialists did in North America, Central America and South America.

So, over the night she’s had some explosive growth. I think the leaf stripping (taking dead and useless leaves in the dark) didn’t hurt her one bit!

Enjoy the photos.

Ok, I know another update but I really think she is going to flower soon. I took a peek at her nodes while I was leaf tucking and saw these beauties forming.

They are still node pistils but they seem to be getting fatter and longer and showing up sooner. I can see some growing with the very brand new leaves at the growing node tips. And I’m seeing them on pretty prevalent on most of the nodes now. I counted at least ten that have them forming in a pretty big way.

You can see pretty big pistils at node sites a little down the branches and it seems to be viable much more readily by the growing leaf tips.

Got more updates.

She’s growing bigger haha, as usual, and it seems like she’s starting to go into preflower now. So many white pistils are popping up on the top growth sites and she’s starting to smell great.

I’m still training to ensure all the branch tops can get adequate lighting.

I’m thinking about doing a little defoliation tomorrow but only taking can leave which are blocking light from the lower branches. She’s so dense I don’t want air to get stangnat and trap moisture to allow for fungus growth. I’ve stopped using my humidifier and the humidity has been staying around 25ish.

I’m thinking I might need a dehumidifier. Thoughts?

Photos are in two sets. Yesterday and today.

Ok, I firstly apologize for not posting much since my birthday! It’s not that I didn’t have any days off or any pictures to upload but I’ve been working on some other projects I have.

Anyways, onto the updates.

There is a lot, so hold on to your seat!

First, she’s grown a ton more since you last saw her here!

Last picture I uploaded she was so short! And that was only a week ago. She is now taller then the water fill pipe! (I’ll post pictures in groups to get everyone caught up.

I haven’t used the humidifier since I posted last, and humidity how stays around 30-35%. This is good I feel and I’m cool with that.

I did decide to defoliate, and I did it in three steps. First I removed any leaves that were fading from not getting any light at the dirt level.

After a bit of time, I then decided I would defoliate some leaves that were blocking light from the lower canopy since she is so dense and bushy.

After another day of time, I then decided it was time to get rid of any nodes growing in the under canopy which just wouldn’t make it because of no light exposure.

I did leave a second layer canopy which does get some light but not as much as the top branches do. I think I need to get a scrog net to help now since I really cannot do anymore LST anymore since there is nothing to anchor to anymore. I tried training yesterday and almost broke off a budsite (a big one too) but thankfully I got a bandage on it and it is doing fine (the area that cut was super resin-y! Looked super sticky and with white glue looking excretion. It was kinda shocking!) I’m sure she will heal up fine.

With leaves I did defoliate I made a butter with them, just to experiment and to not have any waste. The butter isn’t the same as butter made from shake or buds but it does taste good and give you a mild, very mild, feeling. A calmness and such. I enjoy cooking with it!

Today I noticed what looked like a little calcium deficiency, and I realized there wasn’t any calcium in my nutes so I ground up some eggshells and added it to my nute feed today.

I’m am having to water her every day now, as she sucks up water fast! (I’m watering from bottom mostly, with usually just a little added on top.)

If I can figure a way to pull her down one more time so that the second canopy can grow up to the same level, I’ll do it. Otherwise I’m thinking I might remove some more nodes under which aren’t getting the light adequately.

Thoughts?

And enjoy the pictures, I’ll start from oldest first.

Photos round three!

In this group of photos you can also see where I determined the major branches in my Diva here.

I think I’ll get 4 really big budsites growing from these (which includes the top cola of course) that all might end up looking like colas, or I hope so! Here’s for trying! I pointed out the tops of these branches too in a picture as well, labeling accordingly.
