Lighting T5/CFL only thread (the manual)

I've been reading about how to LST a plant. My finished grow room height will only be 20" tall with light to fit. Gives me about 16" max I am guessing.

Is that including the height of the pot? I have previously grown in 1 gallon square pots and I've been able to keep the plants small while still getting a decent yield. The largest ones in my last grow were ~21" tall and yielded around an ounce. Whether you LST or not, keep the lights right on top of the plants (within an inch or two) to promote shorter, wider plants. This is easier to do with T5 than CFL since they run cooler. I can put my hand directly on my Badboy bulbs without getting burned.

That is the grow height, after subtracting container height. I am also wondering about the scent of 2 autos at a time growing. I have Ak-47 & Auto Berry. I plan to start with one of each, or possibly 3 at a time.

16" will be pretty tight, so working on some LST wouldn't be a bad idea. AK can get pretty smelly, so with 2-3 plants you will probably need to look into some odor control before they're in full flower. Ona Gel at a minimum but a carbon filter would be best. Safety first.

Complete noob to indoor growing here, hi :)

I wanna test the waters and run 3 auto's I have plenty of seeds, going to do WOS AKR, PKR & barneys PE auto first up in large pots, around 12inch diameter pots (even converted measurements), soil/perlite mix

This set up is going to be in a built in wardrobe

So onto the dumb questions and thanks in advance

Would 2 x 130w CFL's with reflective hoods be enough light to get a couple ounces out of the three plants? any other problems aside of course, stress/heat/deficiencies, but if that was all under control would that be enough light to get a decent yield?

With these CFL's how close could I have the lights to the seedlings? and also what distance is safe when they get older?

Oh and bulbs, 2700K seems like they would be the best because autos dont veg as such, but Ive seen kits where one is a 2700k bulb and the other is a 6400k, then Ive seen them as high as 24000K, so will 2700k's be best?

Thanks and would really appreciate a quick response because of an ebay sale lol, peace all

Yes it would be enough to make your grow...
Keep them as close as you can without burning them. If you put your hand up to the plants top and it's tolerable, then it's ok for the plant. If it burns your hand, then move the plant down some. On my T-5 fixture, I keep them 5" to 8" away from the light at all times...
