I've finally bitten the bullet and decided to do an LED grow! I've only ever grown under CFL before (a number of years ago) but the results were disappointing. Hopefully this time round i'll get some nice flowers to medicate with :smoke:

My setup:

Seeds: Sweet Auto Mix - I really wanted to grow out some of Sweet's stuff, there are some mouth-watering photographs on this forum of Sweet strains which captivated me and made me splash out on 10 mixed feminised autoflowering seeds, 2 of which have gone into paper towels to germinate. I wonder which varieties will pop!? Exciting!

Tent: Secret Jardin DS60II (decent quality for the price actually).

Light: Cidly Apollo 6 200W (purchased directly from Cidly themselves) I have a custom spectrum as follows:
720nm x 1 deep red
660nm x 8 red
630nm x 3 red
12000k x 1 white
460nm x 2 blue

I'll be using 2.5 Gallon Root Pouches with Plagron Light Mix and the Advance Nutrients range of fertilizers.

Let me know what you think to my setup and please chime in with any suggestions or observations - all input is greatly appreaciated - i'm sure i'll need your expert help along the way. I'll keep this as a grow diary and update it once every couple of weeks or so. Here are some pictures to keep you lot happy until my next update! Enjoy! :coffee2:

Wish me luck! :tiphat:

Best of luck, NuteBurn! Nice kit you've gathered. Should be a great grow! subbed :)

My first grow was Sweet Seeds Fast Bud under LED. I grew six plants which yielded 2 oz of bud to smoke and a bunch of veg to cook with. I'm using hydro so I can't comment on your set up but I think you are in good hands with Sweet Seeds. Good luck.

Nice setup bud. i like the LED.. nice job what seeds are you doing from sweets?

Hiya :tiphat:

I actually don't know which varieties i'm growing yet, I am growing seeds from an autofem mixed strain pack so i'll have to wait and see what I get - it's just luck of the draw! I know some growers on here like to know exactly which plant they are growing so they can dial in to that particular strain or whatever, but after looking through Sweet's catalogue I was totally spoilt for choice and actually wanted to buy ALL of their strains to try! Can't afford to do that, so I opted for the cheaper, more exciting, russian roulette-style random seed selection for my grow! Balls to the wind!

o i see we have the same issue!

Just a little update: I checked my beans this morning and they popped so i've planted them into their final pots (2.5 gallon smart pots/root pouches) and put them into the tent under the LED. I've positioned it around 2ft directly above the pots. As always, some photos to share!

IT'S DISCO TIME!!

Next update we should see some little seedlings!

Ok, so today is day 1 for the plants, both seeds broke the soil overnight and are loving their environment :dance2:

One of the seedlings only has one fat cotyledon which is a bit odd, but it's got it's first set of true leaves so should be alright, it might be stunted a little going forward but i'm not worried. The other seedling looks healthy and has a deep purple stem - a sign of things to come??? Hope so!

Check 'em out:

One fat cotyledon!

The normal one.

Back in a few days with another update.

Peace

And they're off! "One fat cotyledon"... great pickup line.. "Hey Darlin, I've got one fat cotyledon.." lololol

I'll have to try that one out pal!!

Once, when I was out drinking with a mate of mine, we were talking to a couple of stunners, he says (drunkenly) to one of them: "Do you like chicken?" so she says "Yeah..." and he replies with "Good, suck on this - its FOUL!" and grabbed his crotch. Needless to say got a hell of a slap off her!!

We never pulled that night if I remember rightly...

Sorry for going off topic, getting back on it I forgot to mention in my last post that the temps are a little high in the tent, 30.8 celcius when I checked today, this worries me slightly - does anyone have any idea if this is too high or not?

The light has been on 24/0 until they sprouted, so i've changed the timer to a 20/4 cycle now. I'll get high and low readings after tonight when it goes off for 4 hours.

Peace
