Day 14 - 3BOG

And then the problem child lol. I think I may have figured out her issue, beyond just initial transplant shock. The ducting I have that brings in air from my AC vent was directly over here once she was moved to her big girl pot, and when I switched from 24/0 to 18/6 the temp was dropping way lower in her spot than it should have been. Duct is now pointed up and is over the lights instead of straight down into the plants' immediate area. Hoping I didn't mess her up too much but if she doesn't start improving soon it may be the end of her. From what I could find online it does look a lot like she's suffering from being too cold, so I'm hoping the temps being a smidgen warmer overall (and especially in her spot) will help bring her back around.

Looking great Suki
They seem to react nicely to the LST :naughtystep:
I love this part - exploding after LST or other training techniques. It's like they're pissed off and growing like crazy just to show you what's what.

Lol I definitely get the feeling I'm getting flipped the bird every time I open the tent after a training session for sure. Its fun to see them just take off every time. I like when they're tiny cause you can see how much they grow every day, but stretch is my favorite cause they're just moving so fast and you can be a lot more hands on with them.

Did you learn that training method from bonsai?
Kinda sorta? More like I adapted it from the more traditional copper wire wrapping you'd see in bonsai training. I tried just tying them down when I was initially training my photos, but I like that wrapping them in wire gives you a bit more control on where the bends go specifically and kinda help brace against breakage when you're doing more extreme bending. This is me being rather lazy with it at this point actually, but I figure as they stretch more I'll just keep working on them gradually and them put them into their final form as stretch wraps up.

What cultivar is she? Thanks!
Aurora Borealis from Oasis, which I believe is their Auto NL. She's a nice little plant but I'd have a hard time recommending their beans with the abysmal (3/7) germ rate I've had with them so far. Only beans I've had any issues with at all as far as getting them going.

I hear you. I have had a bad run of germination luck with certain Meph cultivars lately. I strongly suspect it is connected with Covid (i.e. sitting in a 200 deg container at anchor for 3 months or some such). I just germed 1/5 strawberry nuggets x skywalker. No real biggie as they were freebies and I understand no QC, etc but . . . one? I have solid germ protocols too. I guess you never know.

If you're in the possibility you could make a timelapse. Then you see the little ones move and dance to the light
My kit is almost here, so check my next diary. There will sure be some timelapses in there

I've got to figure out where the all seeing eye I bought for when I needed to check in on the kids while I was at work last year is. Apparently it works with the ispy program so in theory I should be able to make it work. We moved in March and unpacking is torture so it should be in one of the last few boxes downstairs.

Lol, we moved 13 years ago and still have boxes that are unpacked. So I get it ;)

I've stopped ordering from overseas until this shipping crap gets better. Being in the SE, wasn't too crazy about even ordering in the US.

My beans for the @Jean-O test run :woohoo:

I may be a little excited lol. The three big girls in the tent should be done in plenty of time for a December start, and idk how long the 3BOG will be holding on, so that may be open sooner than expected as well. That'll just leave the Stomper and considering she's meant to be pretty fast as well, we should be golden. I'm quite excited to get a chance to run his gear so this should be fun.
