hey guys! im doing a picture update soon, but meanwhile i just wanted to share a bit of what is going on!

4 duurty seedlings - seem to be growing rather slowly in the jiffy seed starting soil i planted them in, unless things change significantly this week with them i will not be planting seeds in straight jiffy. i dont think its really the soils fault but it could have to do with many things like my humidity level and such. i may use it with some other additives or mixtures.

2 magic dragons- 19 days since planted. one of my beautiful looking magic dragons showed 2 little white hairs and appears to be female but i will be allowing it to fully sex before i get too exited. and the other magic hasnt shown a sure sex yet, but appears to have many of the same qualities as my other plants who where male. so good news in a sense!

okay guys another update, this one with pictures! Everything in my box seems okay, the seedlings are still a little slow but have shown progresion the last few days. i had to kill a male, and i was left with one pretty duurty dragon female to take care of! i moved things a little in the cabinet to accomodate the duurty in her new pot! i transplanted her into a square pot, it isnt a whole lot deeper than the bottom half of the cup she was in but her roots will be able to extend and soak of all the nutrients from the new ocean forest soil, i also added a tiny bit os sphagnum moss to help air it out and drain easily. she has llittle white hairs now coming out of various places and is growing wuite a bit every day. take a look

hey guys its been a good week! my little duurty has really started to take off, she also started yellowing on some of the lower leaves and i checked the ph and it was high, so i adjusted my waters ph to a lower level and watered her, she will hopefully green back up in a few days. i will continue to water with lower ph for the next water or two as well. anyways here are some pics! you guys tell me what you think!

thanks man! i sure hope so, she is getting strong and her leaf stems are all purple, i wonder if she will color a bit?

yeah, first i just hope that i can properly grow this girl and give her everything she needs, but it sure would be a huge bonus is she got colored haha

I have heard that colder temps and giving her a solid 36 hours of darkness right before you harvest her will make her purple up.

Dropping ur night temps a bit lower will usually assist in bringing out the purp. Seems about a 10 degree drop (in Fahrenheit at least) between day & night temps does the trick. Don't want to much of a drop though as then you'll be stressing them too much. Lil stress - good, to much stress - bad

hey buddha thanks! well right now my temps change almost exactly 10 degrees at night, hopefully i can keep my box dialed in now that the summer is starting! thanks for the help!
