Hey, wanted to show off my "budget" closet tent.

I've never grown anything in my life except bitter (I killed an aloe once) so I wasn't about to drop hundreds on a setup.

This is a mylar sheet (space blanket), Gorilla Tape, a clip fan, SF1000, a mist diffuser, a seedling heater mat, plug strip, and timer.

The light alone cost more than everything else combined lol

A little tip for a new Mars Hydro 2x4 tent

A MUST bit of zip ties with this tent. 4 little zip ties made a big difference in the stability on the long center bar.

So after weeks of not being able to grow I've decided that the only option was to go underground, actually underground.
I dug out a pit 6ft deep & 5x6 wide with a gravel drain at the bottom,
Gona line it in loads of damp course and put a 120 X 90 grow box inside with a dimmable 600 w HPS
Air intake and outake via 5 inch pipes.
It's Gona be fun

I see what you're doing with your wire racks!

It made me think of all the stainless steel wire racks I bought pennies on the dollar. I could have quite the large, but compact grow in a built grow room.
That was a very nice 'scrounge'!
I think I kept 7.

Stainless racks would be a big improvement. I had to add stiffeners to these racks because they were too flimsy.
I hope to do some upgrades to the space soon.

The back rack goes up and down by cranking a trailer winch on the ceiling (yes, that's overkill). The 4 ropes hanging the other shelf tie off to 2 cleats.

Update to the grow closet for starting a second one this week. So far so good.

This thread is KILLING me. I've roared laughing at all the creative engineering.

But besides that, the problem is that the only thing between me and my first grow is that I have to clean out my "office" such that I can fit a 4x2 in it.

I'm a packrat and it is hard to throw anything away. Now I see all this and I'll never throw anything away. I may need all this stuff in the grow for which I have no room....

I hear you bro. I have a confession to make though - I have finally at 73 years old decided to thin out the pile. The stonergenuity supplies are being whittled back little by little...

Mind you, one of the ways I whittle is to make more stuff. Kinda, almost, like perpetual junk...
