She seems to be growing at soil-plant speed at the moment, looking forward to when she shoots more roots and takes off.

My meter must need calibrating as i can't believe she survived a 1.6 EC for a couple of days ...

How do you calculate your Ec from ppm?

I found this table, but i'm unsure if different nutes can be used at values outside what is recommended by the cannabis community. Not enough preofessional studies done on our favourite plant :

Been playing catch up on this thread and I'm definitely subing up for this one!
I myself is on my second grow, in soil, and I'm thinking of making my next one a hydro.

Previously i had one intake hole :



I went to cut an extra intake hole and my gf came up and tore me a new one. Apparently it's not cool to drill after 10pm ... so i'll finish it tomorrow.



So i've moved the air pumps outside of the cab to lower temps, i can't think that they contributed more than a couple of degrees running at probably no more than 25 watts or less between them , but it's done and it will help, if only to a small degree ;+}





Set it all back up :



Put some ice cubes in the bucket while setting it up, roots have grown a lot today and a bit of one broke off when i took the plant out :



pH'd the mix to 5.9, EC 1.2 and turned the bubbles on :



The girl is looking happy :






I don't normally do this many updates but it's my first hydro so i'm an anxious parent all over again

Looking good! Personally I wouldnt run the ec any higher until she is a least three times that size, 0.9 for veg and up to 1.6 - 2.0 in flower. Also get some cheap car audio sound insulation (silver reflective type) to cover the top of the pot, helps keep temps down a lot. Looking forward to seeing her strut her stuff

Thanks for car aduio tape advice, i've seen that but never asked what it's for before!

Ye my EC meter may be off, she was running at 1.6 for nearly two days and seemingly loved it!

But am aiming for pH 5.6-5.8 and EC 1.2, just couldn't be arsed treating the mix again tonight :/
