I think i'll grow an Afghan Kush Ryder, which needs no introduction to most of us but here's a link anyway :

I've grown AKR quite a few times in soil so she's a good candidate in order to see the difference DWC should make.

All the stuff i've ordered will arrive by Friday apart from the air pump which won't be here until Monday/Tuesday next week.

So i'll germinate this weekend.

The bucket jsut arrived, slightly shorter than my airpots so that's cool.

Wow it feels real now! Just like when i used to drool over peoples grow pics before i'd done a grow, then you order all the stuff and it arrives

Drilled a hole and put the float valve in the bucket :

AKR at the ready!

Seed in the glass to soak for 24-36 hours :

Glass in a cardboard box lined with plastic :

Box is in a warm, dark place. Will check in 24 to see if it's sunk and ready to be transferred to damp paper towels.

Gotta get some rooting cubes and ting ...

My PPM meter arrived today, made in China but good reviews on Amazon. I've bought plenty of Chinese products that last well for the money :

Trouble is, the readout is in PPM and i don't know if it's a .5 or a .7 conversion to EC.

Is there a test i can do to find out whether it's .5 or .7 ?
