Grow Mediums Steely's first hydro grow. LED DWC.

is it different with Autos with the res temperature, I remember that 18,5 c° is the perfect temp

Something with its the easiest for the nutrition to be sucked up by the roots

That is a good average temp.
A small amount of fluctuation is fine.

NIEN ! I am the grow nazi :D , nah not really, never bought a water chiller :D

but I think I remember this now, basically air is the most salutible in water at 18,5 while the water is warm enough for nutrition to be taken up by the plant

but I slept like 14 hours today and feel so fucking brain dead that I cant read "colored books with pictures"

From the article= "The optimal temperature for a nutrient reservoir is 63 to 72°F. Within this temperature range, the dissolved oxygen content is high and the temperature is warm enough to facilitate nutrient uptake"

Lovely frost and superb dwc root ball well done steel.

Cheers arty :)

Have your got a dry weight yet mate?

Mine settled at around that but managed to survive 24C for a week or more when the weather was warm.

Next grow i'm going to use half of the air intakes so as to limit vegetative growth and be able to put more energy into flowering.

Cheers for reading!

A lot of drying has gone on the last 24 hours, stems nearly snappy so have weighed and put in jars.

Harvest : 63.9g

Plus i smoked a bit while drying ;+}

I haven't weighed the trim yet, it looks like a half ounce maybe.

The buds are slender, fluffy on the outside but solid on the inside, so not great bud development.

Main cola :

I put this down to the explosive vegetative growth in hydro which needs an accordingly more powerful light - 120W ain't cutting it, 180-200 should.

The smoke is lovely :) Very, very smooth and strawberry-tasting, which i've not had in an AKR before.

Tony at Dutch Passion is very kindly sending me some Auto White Widow for my next grow, i hope to have a more powerful lamp before flowering of that begins !

Floating away now on the big pile of cushions made from clouds that is AKR ... cya ..

steely :)

Congrats on the decent haul Steely. You can't grumble with that yield as your first hydro attempt. Here's hoping you double it with the WW.

LOOKING GREAT FUCK HELL !

I never thought you could pull 63 gr of a single plant with just 120W and its an auto :D

been worried I would only be getting 20-30 gr but this looks promising, I wonder what my LED actual W is going to be, borrowing a meter to check that hopefully soon

Steely, as always, top job fella.

Does that mean that you are now a convert?

eP.

Well done steel, beautiful jars of crystally bud, enjoys smoking them :)
Really nice of DP Tony to be sending you some WW auto seeds, I'll be sure to follow a long when you crack them.
