I'm with you growbewan,i run T5 lights 4" above my plants and haven't experienced this and i'm only running 30 watts less light then Squid. I would think it would effect all the plants and not just some of them if it were bleaching. Squids lights are more cfl like then normal T5 tubes so maybe thats it but i'm eager to see Muddys opinion also.Im having a real hard time believing that its bleaching, cuz i was running 5 4ft t5's just inches, im talkin' 2-4 inches from the top of my babies for a month, b4 switching to the hps, with no problems like that. Im eager to see what muddy says.![]()
This picture is what light bleaching/ light burn looks like.
Only way to fix this is to Move the lights away from the plant!
Or make sure you dont go over 75 watts a sq foot, or your plant will have to much light and light bleaching can occur anywhere on the plant. (indica species seem to bleach easier than sativas imo.)
