Mephisto Genetics Spannabis Stories and the future of Mephisto Genetics..!

Mitch,

I've "mojinated" on this some more...the first thing that comes to mind is that
there is NO way you should be spending time packing orders, getting to town,
and getting them shipped out. That's a ton of time....opportunity cost. What is the
cost of that time in things you could otherwise be doing.

There are a ton of "administrative" objectives that could easily be handled by
an administrative assistant/lackey/go-fer. And all the job requires is that one
be trustable, efficient and organized. I would imagine they wouldn't even have
to live on-site. Keep them loaded with stock and have them handle all your
orders and shipping. How much time in a given week would that buy you?

A lot, I'm guessing.

It would be a mini distributor that was in-house. No loss of control and
more time freed up.

It's just a matter of whether you can pay for that time or not.

I guess my point is, remove all the items from your to-do list that can
be done without the fear that it will be done improperly or that requires
a skill set that's hard to find.

my 4 cents now, I suppose... :)

Smart, basically just have a assistant ,that can solely handle emails, orders, packing, shipping. While Mitch and friend takes care of the ladies. Personally I think as a lover of cannabis, another person with such passion as all of us on here, can be a nice addition, I would cross the pond as long as there's a place to sleep, food, and my bowl be packed lol. Una pregunta?(a question) do you guys speak Spanish, and if no does that make things a bit more difficult being In espana?

mephisto..:kusht::kusht::kusht:..excellent Report and Insight..I'll Link it into Live Help and Live Stoners over the weekend so everyone gets a chance to read.

And..I have to say..Option #3..although you may want to negotiate the %.

Is your Time better spent Breeding girls or visiting Post Offices..?...:dunno:

You lose a lot of Control..but Control of a lot of the PITA jobs.

Customer Contact can be here..same as Now as you develop/test/perfect your New Crosses..Before they go to the Mass Market..also sets up the Show Grow threads for your distributor..Pre-release.

What ever way you Go...Good Luck..."Izzy wizzy"..you make us Proud...

Yeah 50% share in the Company is too much, that doesn't even give you power over the Company as you wouldn't hold the majority of the Company, I would say. Take them out to lunch talk about it and negotiate, start at 20% see where it can get you, it's up to you though to see how much they're worth to you, and how they will be able to expand the Company and profits. If they are a tremendous asset and you certainly have had it and want to just focus on your projects and let them do the work, make sure you at least have majority percent.

Just a thought...

Mitch,

Is there someone from our very own AFN forum you could trust with this job, after all we all love to help each other out?

Ask around man, no harm in asking

Yup, just say, "what will 20% buy me? That's as far as I'm willing to divest"

Hey Mephisto, it was a pleasure to read this story, I read tons of positive feedback on your seeds, I'll try for sure in the future, I'm new to this forum and a new grower, but I've some management skills, IMHO knwledge, skills and love for this plant are the keys, and you have all three for your sake, what you lack is management, but it doesn't worth a 50%, or 30% or 20%, it should be bringed up by just 1 person that can handle it and grow up building relations and so on, it's your choice if this person has to be an employee that costs you a salary, or take an associate buying a 20% (for example) that brings you fresh money to be invested, then you can use your forum contacts to have 1 person in each country helping with mothertongues and advertising your wonderful strains (if you find MJ lovers this may costs only a few seeds for free).
See you
G.

PS I'll apply for italian market :) (in june we have this fair: http://www.indicasativatrade.com/index.php?lang=EN )
