Thanks Atrain, I just feed and water them, Mephisto did all the hard work. Sour Crack grows itself despite my clumsy weed growing skills, all she gets is tap water and tomato food. Might be a great plant for new growers if they don't mind the skunk smell.

Day 42 I've been posting close up photos of the buds because my Sour Crack plant is so ugly. I opened the grow room and she said "don't look at me, I am hideous"

Here is photo showing how I am adjusting the plants to deal with the center hot spot from the HS1. The goal is to get the same intensity of light to all the top leaves according to my light meter. Closer than 35cm seems to stress the leaves. Maybe they could tolerate more light if I was supplementing with CalMag?

too much light is too much light, I wonder if you removed the filter if it would spread the light out more? Also you can buy plant rotaters on amazon that would be interesting to try in a small tent. they can be set to spin the plant every couple days to help distribute the light more evenly over time. Also flush those puppies, way too much salts in the soil judging by the leaves. Nice frost!

Thank you! You are right about too much salt in the Soil! I just noticed that my EC meter calibration is WAY off.

I just watered both my plants to runoff with half strength fertilizer, based on the manufacturers recommendation of milliliters of Nute per liter of water, NOT based on my goofy EC meter. I've been growing stuff in my garden for years, but I don't think I ever screwed up quite this bad. I was trying to be all precise with the EC meter and ignoring common sense.

So far my Journals have been a chronicle of how much abuse can Mephisto plants tolerate.

I know how that can be, Ive been trying to grow some regular plants at work, under a custom LED strip I ordered from cidly and they werent growing, I flushed them good with plain water and now they really took off. They werent showing signs of nute toxicity, but they werent happy, now they are.

It is the gradient of the light intensity that that I want to take advantage of. Directly under the LED is twice as intense as the edges. I am forcing the plants into a bowl shape so the leaves directly under the LED are farther away. I want all those little green solar panels to get the same intensity of light.

The LED panel is a 8cm x 8xcm square, very different from a couple of T5s. The HS1 is more like a flashlight (torch for the British). The light is coming more from one point so it casts stronger shadows, and maybe weaker penetration 10 cm into the canopy.

I think I need a bowl of green 10 cm thick to absorb the most light from a single Grownorthnern HS1
