Thanks for stopping by noods bro..Got a question for you in terms of side lighting I'm thinking of adding 2 red and 2 blue, one of each on both the far and near sides of the plant wud that be a good idea or should I just order 4 reds by the time I get them it'll be week 5 or 6..any help with this as always will be greatly appreciated :smokebuds:
Well, if you look at the plants physiology, the red spectrum is most beneficial during flowering and would be the right choice. But you already have the big red one up top, and look how good they're doing with that spectrum, in veg... It's the same with flowering. They WILL flower and produce buds under the blue spectrum, just like they'll veg under red. My last grow was all blue, start to finish. But that's only because I only have small 33w red bulbs and they just look so weak, compared to the blue with the same wattage. That's just me though, but I was very happy with my harvest(s)!
I guess my vote would be, go for the blue since you already have the big red one.
Res, don't let all that colorful bullshit confuse you. Keep It SimpleStoner is the way to go- start over-thinking things and trying to decipher unneeded colorful charts and you're just asking for trouble.
Really appreciate the help dudes..I'm going to get 2 red and 2 blue leaving each plant with one red and one blue on each side and the big fella over head..the ones I'm ordering are 48w so that will leave me with 346w of red spectrum and 96w of blue spec which will hopefully increase the bud size
sounds like you have you head screwed on and glad we could help
there's alot of debate on cfl spectrum there no really solid info it on cannabis i could find when i bought mine adding a bit of both seems the safest bet lol
I suppose i should have stated you can flower with both as they both contain all colours but mixing is safest
