Maybe you already mentioned this somewhere, hard to stay on top on all your prolific and sublime dallying, but have you tried gently roughing up the surface of the stem that goes into the dark..... Do you have a cheese grater?

And a longer, much much longer diagonal...... Let's see how long a diagonal can actually be HubbaBubba style........

Hint = a snaking s-shaped diago...........do you have a laser cutting thingamajig..... Lol

I did try striping off some of the "bark" it didn't seem to help. Maybe I was too gentle.
Need more cuttings, but the organ donor is into full flower.

Did some cuttings last year and really roughed up the area around the cut. Also used honey on three, clonex
on another three, apparently because of its anti- bacterial properties honey helps. All I know is the plants all took. Was just getting some practice and really did believe they all would perish.

Sorry, should of been more specific, cuttings were from a feminised seeds super iced grapefruit. My first 2 grows were photo plants.

I actually took the cuttings just as an experiment, once they took and started to grow I actually threw them in a cold, dark tent for a week ready for throwing. Simply had no light for them. When I came to throw them a week later they actually looked OK, so picked the best 3 and put in mini hempys.
Surprises me sometimes how fragile our plants can be, but at the same time can be very resilient to all sorts of shit.

Day 43 50cm tall. Topped all the flowering branches to keep her short. Hmmm wonder what kind of colas she will make.

One day........ I shall overcome......... My deep-rooted instinctive aversion to cutting perfectly good buds off prematurely....... Oh well, we can't all be as profoundly artistic and productive as "The Snipper"......may it last for many buds to come.

The sniping frenzy is teaching me a lot.
I think it might be possible to FIM plants into a wide bush 10cm tall.... with a couple of fat colas sticking out.

I don't think it is practical to Hermie a Mephisto plant from cuts. I chopped and hacked 20 times into the main stem & side shoots... no balls.

DAY 45 all good
Some minor deficiencies on the lowest leaves.

Blooming nicely, a little late because I chopped all the tops off, twice. Lots of flowers, maybe too many?

OLD ROOTS
Pulled out the old roots from 2 Tyrone Specials that were grown in this pot.
They came out easy after 3 twists to break the tap root.

The roots have been drying/rotting for 55 days:
